Price Paid:  $325.00 from eBay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 TS-W5000SPL

Strengths:
Extreme excursion, power handling and weight. Sound really good. Cool design. Manufactured flawlessly. JL Audio quality for half the price.

Weaknesses:
Bottomed out a couple times during low bass notes at full volume but this would never happen at a comfortable listening level with max rated power of 2000 wattsor less.

Summary:
This sub is a monster! Be prepared to have a fork lift handy to aid in installation! Pioneer was not a name associated with bass until this sub came out. Now they have the world record in the extreme 9+ category. I can say that you won't need anymore than 2 of these, and this is coming from a guy that's had 4 audiobahn AW1805X's. We had 2 of these in a cavalier and we put an Orion XTRpro 2400 on each one. We also had a 200 amp alternator and a 5 farad cap to help supply the juice. Put in the manufacurer's suggested box; they play extremly low and loud. One SERIOUS subwoofer. If your thinking about getting one of these don't wait any longer cause you won't be dissapointed guarateed. Recommend 2000-2200 watts in ported inclosure.
