Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $25.00 from friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1998

Summary:
I got two of these 10s in my truck, i am powering them by a 250 watt earthquake amp. They sound really good from the inside of my truck, but not much outside. I hope to upgrade to the HE 10s. If your looking for something to hit hard and have good bass go with them.

Strengths:
they have good bass at the right wattage, but can distort if you feed them enough juice.

Weaknesses:
The outer seal of the sub falls apart. If you want these subs get some grills for them.

Similar Products Used:
These are my first 10s. But never buy MTX. Take my word on it. They suck

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $42.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 RFZ1810

Summary:
Definetely a get what you pay for deal. Not bad for Rap, leaves a bit to be desired on Rock but still works, drops of on low end bass but still noticeable, a good first buy.

Strengths:
Hits clean and nice, does not distort often.

Weaknesses:
Not great for overall rock but it works, drops off performance on low end bass.

Similar Products Used:
JL 10" w3's - no comparison, JL kicks it's a!#, only noticeable difference is JL tends to distort on excessive rap bass whereass the punch's sound cleaner.

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $80.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999

Summary:
I bought these speakers because of all the great things I heard about them, that wound up to be true!

Strengths:
You can't beat 2 10's for $80! Won't bottom out, won't distort...feed them plenty of watts, and they'll move!

Weaknesses:
I feel that the materials used to make the speakers aren't that high quality(and MAYBE won't last)

Similar Products Used:
these were my first 10's

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $90.00

Summary:
i ran 2 10s with a punch 500a2. This might be a little excessive for wattage, but i haven't blown them up yet. They play very loud and accurately. I am very impressed. I have heard stereos that people have put much more money in and they still don't sound as loud or as clean as mine.

Strengths:
Cheap, hit very hard, tight and accurate bass, don't normally distort

Weaknesses:
frequency response drops off at the low end

Similar Products Used:
kicker XPL 12--these are much tighter and accurate

Review 5 of 7

Summary:
I have this sub in a bandpass box in my car. It's ok! I got the box for cheap from a friend so... I needed an affordable sub. And, I did everything myself! They look good and simple.
All I know is that "you get what you paid for."

Strengths:
cheap and affordable

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
There are better subs out there for a lot more!
