Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 RFZ1412

Strengths:
None

Weaknesses:
All

Summary:
I got these subs through a repo hoping to make a little money. Being Rockford I figured hundred bucks or so but these subs suck, I'll be lucky to get fifty bucks or so. My sonys walk all over these rockfords.

Review 3 of 39

Price Paid:  $120.00 from friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 punch xlc

Strengths:
The xlc comes with a large voice coil for low end bass. It also can handle 400 watts max. It wont put a hole in your pocket.

Weaknesses:
The paper has a shorter life expectancy. They look isnt top line in its class. Put to the side due to its new bigger bother, the hx2.

Summary:
subs will only sound as well as you let them. If you put two 12 inch punch xlc's in a sealed box with the right amp pushing them, you will get a good response. for example the xlc's give off a great low end response. My other punch's on the other hand can't really keep up. things you want to look for in a sub is: a good size voice coil. This will determine how far the sub can vibrate, which can produce low end bass. look at your spl's. this is for you loudness. Also you want to consider the size of your magnet. This determines how many watts the sub should be able to handle. My punch cans with theys features. The only down side would be the paper cone. they have a shorter life span.

Similar Products Used:
They have many other products that are very much alike, you as a consumer just have to do your research. thats very important.

Review 4 of 39

Price Paid:  $0.00

Strengths:
good considering the price

Weaknesses:
considering the price range, not many

Summary:
Fosgates may not be the best sub around, but for what they cost they aren't bad. Everyone is comparing them to Shockers and Audiobahns, of course they aren't going to out-hit high-dollar speakers. You can't expect to get much out of something that you don't pay much for. Your quality is directly proportional to how much money you spend on something. Rockford Fosgate makes very good top of the line subs but everyone buys the low line series and consequently stereotype the brand. Don't knock the brand until you actually invest some money into it.

Price Paid:  $60.00 from ultimate electronics

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99

Strengths:
the cardboard box is farely strong

Weaknesses:
damn, only 1200 characters available.

Summary:
They suck so bad, there still in the cardboard box it came in, sitting in the garage for four years now, and for the guy from Howell, MI. of course it's the loudest in town, probably only fifty people in the town, try competing down here, I'm hitting 154 in a regular cab ranger, with two 12s'

Similar Products Used:
I've got 6 1/2's that hit harder
