Review 1 of 23

Price Paid:  $350.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Punch Power RFR2212

Strengths:
The build quality is excellant as with all Rockford Fosgate Products. Power, spl, and reliabilaty.

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
Have owned Fosgate products since 1989. Still have my first amp(Puch 45HD). These subs are in a class that very few subs can match. I have 1 with a 500bd on each coil and people cant beleive the way this sub pounds. It is truly amazing. Looking for another 1 and up grading to 1000bd or 2. Long Live Rockford Fosgate! Car audio for true fanatics.

Review 3 of 23

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Local shop

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 RFR 3113

Strengths:
Durable Great SPL Sound Okay Can take a lot of power

Weaknesses:
Huge Box need for true Spl are power hungry for those who cant afford more amps

Summary:
When a local shop was switching from Rockford to Kicker they were sellin all of their rockford stuff dirt cheap but i didnt fin any of these subs the about 4 weeks ago i found some burried and got them and put them in my car and the sound great i only have one RF 1500bd on both and its not enough these things can take about 1500 watts RMS safely and about 4000 if your burping them theres only one big flaw to these they need a hug box if you want to get the true SPL that these beast are made for I talked to Chris Norris who help with the team rockford series of sub and he said that they need at least 5.5ft3 a piece to get true spl they are in a box that rockford recs but Norris said you would gain about 5 or 6 db if they were in a 5.5 and thats a lot but other than that they are great

Review 4 of 23

Price Paid:  $220.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 RFR3112

Strengths:
Stong, deep bass. Performs well in vented enclosure. Durabilty is unsurrpassed.

Weaknesses:
Requires alot of power. Sound Quality is sacrificed a bit.

Summary:
All in all, a good subwoofer. When I first hooked it up, I was dissapointed at how loud I had to turn up my whole system to get decent output. I then realized my amp was still running at 4 Ohm, so I bumped it down to 1. At 1000 watts RMS, this sub starts to warm up. I realized after I had that much power going through it, what would a little more hurt? I threw 2 BD1500's at it, (one one each voice coil) to have a total wattage output of about 3200. There is no way I can decribe how low this sub goes now. I have a sine wave generator which I can set to 20Hz. This sub POUNDS when it hits it. I have it in a dual ported box with about 2.1 cubic foot of space inside. I know it's not much, but I didn't want it to sound too boomy. Good sub, but not a beginners level. If you want loudness from this sub, I recommend putting AT LEAST 1500 watts RMS into it. I have already seen one 12" handle 4000+, so don't worry about bowing it up.

Review 5 of 23

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 RFR 3112

Summary:
These subs are ok. I expected more from them than they produced. I had 2 of these running off of 2 kicker zr1000's and my 4 w3v2's pounded harder and also sounded better.
