Review 3 of 12 , from L.A

Price Paid:  $250.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
Fosgate just won the SPL record, 172.6 db's, need I say more, thank you.

Weaknesses:
none, none and none again.

Summary:
I called fosgate's tech support, and asked them for enclosure dimentions for one power Hx2 12" sub. They submitted me a 4.0 cubic inch design with a square built in port, and told me that this box would be tuned to 44Hz's and should ONLY be used for spl competition purposes of short term playing. Well I bet you want to find out how it sounds. All I have to say is that I can push bricks out of walls in my hood, let me tell you man this thing can make elephants nervous in africa and that is 8000 miles away. Since the box is tuned so high it is not relly good with real low frequiencies like 10Hz-35Hz but, who cares you can't hear most of that range any how. Buy this thing and make sure you ask the fosgate guys for an spl box design and you'll be killing kicker solo barics, and cerwin vega strocker all day, and price wise you can't go wrong with this sub, because comparing to other high end competition subs it is much cheaper, and that is because the dealers sell more of them than other brands. This thing puts California earthquakes to shame. WHOOAA!!!!

Review 4 of 12 , from Raleigh, NC USA

Price Paid:  $215.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 RFR 2212 Punch Power DVC 12"

Strengths:
Hits hard, low, and does not take up much space. Sounds like 2 12's or 15's but takes the half the space.

Weaknesses:
Watch your gain cause the sub will blow, I had to replace this sub twice already.

Summary:
Overall the this speaker is great. I'm only running one sub, and people are shocked when they hear all the bass from one speacker. Though I do have an old school Punch 250 supplying the power source. If your interested in running one sub, the Power DVC is a good choice.

Review 5 of 12 , from North Caldwell, NJ

Price Paid:  $220.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 Punch Power DVC 12"

Strengths:
Large magnet. Rubber surround, Cone is solid, 4 Inch Voice coil

Weaknesses:
I would like if it would require a smaller box

Summary:
I bought two of these bad boys. Ran them at parellel to a a mono amplifier the bd1000a1. I have to say it is well worth the money. Designed a sealed enclosure with a 3 cubic foot internal volume.

Managed to get 143 db's. Tryied numerous configurations but found the seald to be the most pronounced and solid of the boxes. The hard part was finding an amp to do the subs justice. The Frequency response was better then expected and the subs perform at lower frequncies fairly well.

Used Kicker Solobarics, Jl Audio 12w3 and 12w6's
