Review 1 of 27

Price Paid:  $75.00 from Second hand

Summary:
I'm pretty impressed if you can blow these subs in ten minutes with the correct configuration... you must be a real rocket scientist. Anyway great subs for the cash. You can always upgrade later, but for the price cousious sub sounder, nothing is more econo.

Strengths:
Astetix baby! Plastic base cone (not cardboard junk). Price is right.

Weaknesses:
Not competition level. Want some better subs for the money? Check E series Alpines.

Similar Products Used:
Alpine, MTX, Kickers, JL, Pioneer, pretty much anything big on the market I've run. JL's my fav!

Review 3 of 27

Price Paid:  $0.00 from sony

Year / Model Reviewed:

Summary:
Sony simply does not put alot of effort into there car audio products. I have yet to have a sony product in a car that lasts more than a year. To tell you truth no sony product in a car that i have owned has proformed the way i ever imagined it to. I just recently bought a sony 1000 watt amp and i just sent it back for repair under warranty.(that is a plus) I constantly had problems with it shutting off and it finally gave out and will not turn on. A buddy of mine has 2 aluminum cone sony subs and they are constantly blowing. The sound from the amp was not all that great...the subs that my buddy had were not all that great sounding either. I bought this amp because it WAS cheap($150). Sony car audio is definitly nothing to brag about and NOT EVEN NEAR COMPETITION quality... Mabye i just got a bad apple or something but every sony explode product I have ever owned has done just that. and to the guy a few back, systems never sound good with the top down......some people...

Strengths:
it was cheap...and warranty was helpful

Weaknesses:
not so loud...poor sq...unreliable

Similar Products Used:
rockford fosgate, soundstream, juggernaut(woo woo), mmats, pioneer and audiobahn
