from Sounddomain.com Year / Model Reviewed: 2002 Strengths: Bass responce, in both SQL and SPL applications. Very low power requirments for good sound. (80-175) Weaknesses: The PS10 does need a very clean source and very clean power. It has a tendency it resonate anp distortion however and doesn''t do well with fading rear outputs, a sub out is best. So,if you want to use a Jensen amp or some such just dont but this Sub. Summary: Well, I bought this model hoping it to be a fair SQ sub (for use in my daily driver, not my show car). I was very surprised though that it is very well rounded. The SQ responce, on Bach''s Air is very tight and nicely controled. Also, the deep thumps on my Booty Jams cd is full and loud but not muddy. Its built very well. The rubber suround fitting for the nickel injected woofer and together they produce a good median sub.
It won''t match up with A/D/S or Focal but for the money I cannot complain. If you are looking for a cheap bass solution forget Kenwood or Alpine subs go with Ultimate Sound because you just get more for your money. Similar Products Used: JL Audio 10w6, Focal 135w, A/D/S 310rs. Kenwood powered 8" tube.
