from Walmart, etc. Year / Model Reviewed: 2007 Zip Wax Strengths: extends the life of regular wax applications, gets places you can't get to with regular wax, protects exterior rubber and trim. Weaknesses: Not a stand-alone paint protectant (doesn't have the ingredients to "feed" the paint, remove oxidation, etc.) Summary: I've been using zip wax for about 40 years to keep my vehicles clean and the outer surfaces protected. I use a proper wax twice a year, Spring and Fall, and zip wax the rest of the time. The zip wax get into cracks and crevices that I can't get to with regular wax plus it protects the rubber around the glass and so on as well. I keep my cars for years, then generally give them to one of the kids. My son has our old 87 Chevy Van and follows the same routine (as he does with his Jaguar) and it still looks great. We had a water spotting problem too, but that's our hard water from our well. We bought an in-line filter from an RV store and that fixed the problem. It's probably the water, not the wax. Similar Products Used: Several other brands that seem the same, though aren't always available and seem to charge more for their name.
