Review 1 of 9

Price Paid:  $259.00 from Brother Performance

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Mustang GT convertible

Summary:
This system is very economical, but not very durable.I had it on the car for about 3 years and the tips looked very good for about 2 years, but rotted from the inside out later. The system fits up well but needs to be adjusted several times to kepp it from contacting the underside of the car and the fuel tank.
Also, about the same time the tips were rusting out I noticed the cars seemed to be running poorly--acceleration was really down. I took the mufflers off and they were completely rusted out and were restricting flow.
I would not use this system again.

Strengths:
low cost
sounds really good

Weaknesses:
not very durable
needs lots of adjusting to fit well

Review 2 of 9

Price Paid:  $279.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1994 Mustang GT

Summary:
I never installed an exhaust before, but this exhaust was easy to install. I wanted to open up my whole exhaust after putting in a blower so I went with an all Mac set up. Works like a charm! There is a definite jump in the entire powerband band!

Strengths:
Sweet low tone! Fits together with ease and combined it with Mac equal length headers and Mac H-pipe with cats. Nice HP gain!

Weaknesses:
None!

Review 3 of 9

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Internet

Year / Model Reviewed:
 MAC Products Cat Back

Summary:
Installation was a little tricky. Getting the system on wasn't a problem but it took a number of tries at adjusting the exhaust so it didn't hit any part of the undercarrage.

Strengths:
- Price - Great sound - Don't "resonate" at speed like my flowmasters did.

Weaknesses:
THE TAILPIPES!!!!!!!!!!! 1. They're chromed steel. They look great going on but start rusting inside and out after only a few months. 2. The tailpipes have no adjustment!!! The hangers are welded to the tailpipes. I took a sledge hammer to the hangers just to get the tailpipes to look reasonablly lined up.

Similar Products Used:
I had 2-chamber flowmaster mufflers on my '86 Mustang.(not a catback). The flowmasters were much louder but would drone on the highway. The noise would drive me nuts.

Review 5 of 9

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Great product! Best sounding catback in my opinion. I love the rumble while idling, the deep deep growl while accelerating, and the crackling at high rpms. Great performing. First time i could feel a difference in the power if my car.

Strengths:
*Sounds deep. Like a combo of flows and dynomax. Awesome sound. I now stick out of the 5.0 pack, since everyone i know has flows. *Flanges make it easy to install. *Crome pipes look awesome *NO WELDING *CHEAP!!! *Out performs other catbacks

Weaknesses:
NONE!
