Price Paid:  $300.00 from Signal Auto/was the

Year / Model Reviewed:
1990 Honda Crx Si

Summary:
Well, all I gotta say is that this exhaust is clean, quite, gives a bit power, and is basically one of the best exhaust for the CRX. Direct fit, no funny angles once bolted on and follows original piping path. When I first picked up this exhaust, it was on the stock d16 motor, worked fine, gave a bit more power over all powerbands. Once it broke in, it sounded really nice! Other folks always wondered why type of exhaust it was since you dont see these on CRX's to often anymore. When I hit higher rpm's, when I go over about 45hundred rpm's, you dont even hear the exhaust anymore! Just a nice wisp of flow and all motor.

The reason why I gave this exhaust a 4 is due to the "S" pipe. On the stock motor it was fine but when I got my swap for a JDM b16a and matched up with some JDM 98Spec ITR headers, 2.5 magnaflow highflow cat, to a 2.25 reducer, I started to blow the S pipe. This didnt happen until the 2nd year I had it. First the S pipe had a split crack at the bottom (and no I didint bottom out) this was a natural fracture in the pipe. When I got it welded, the crack then formed on the top of the pipe were the pipe is seemed together. Once I welded that, the crack then formed around the bottom where I just welded it 1 month before. So we treated the S pipe by knocking off all of the weld, then put a stainles piece of sheet metal to "patch up" the crack for the bottom. Then the top cracked again! So we put a little bit more weld on it and now it seems to be holding. So far its been about 2 months with out it cracking again lol. The exhaust did get a little crummy when the powdercoat started to come off. But still no rust broke through to this point and I have had this exhaust for about 5 years now. I also do a lot of heavy canyon runs and some 1/8th mile runs at Irwendale once every so often.

All in all, still this exhaust seems to amaze many Honda flokes! It has a nice race tone with some popping when I shift, but nothing cannish. Very quite when I hit top end, my friends always trip out when I fly by and they tell me that its not even loud! Inside is bit loud of course. I have even snuk by a cop once or twice while talking off from an intersection and they didnt even turn their heads! No BS! Great system if not, one of the best exhaust systems for a CRX.

PS, I got lucky with mine, the time that this exhaust was getting rare, Signal had one on display that they just happen to be getting rid of for 300 bucks!!! ONLY $300 SINCE IT WAS OUT OF THE BOX AND ON DISPLAY! BUT IT WAS STILL NEW! All parts were together, it even had a decal from the display that was under the muffler saying "Greddy, set, go!" LOL, i didnt bother to take it off! Now all thats left is a nice burnt logo on the bottom of the muffler! It actually added a nice touch!

Strengths:
Great power gain above all powerbands on both motors, nice and quite tone, race tone when WOT, one of the best looking exhaust systems for a CRX. PRICE! Its not as expensive as a "Fujitsubo" But still gives you an awesome sound (if thats what your looking for)

Weaknesses:
"S" pipe seemed to crack over time. Powdercoat comes off and some rust does form, cabin noise is there but not too loud.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $500.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 90 Integra

Summary:
This is what belongs on this car, looks perfect mounted across the undercarriage, shiny, noticable just enough- can tell once it breaks-in will sound very nice, like a true racecar sound NOT clangy annoying hollow metal

Strengths:
Straight-thru muffler; nice, big, non-resonating tip so once it breaks-in the sound will be loud from the system itslef not a burping tip

Weaknesses:
vibrates interior of car on highway being directly under center console like any catback will, but who says being loud is a weakness?

Price Paid:  $895.00 from Twin Cam MotorSports

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1998 Accord V6 Coupe

Summary:
Exhaust is great, barely scrapes, sounds good at idle and noticed some gain. I will never part with this exhaust. Doesn't have a cheezy fart can sound.

Strengths:
Noticed some gains w/ the exhaust. Looks good. Doesn't hang too low. Nice sound during idle.

Weaknesses:
kinda loud on the freeway. I have to turn up my music to hear it and forget about talking on the phone.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $650.00 from local store

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1997 240sx

Summary:
I had the MX exhaust system installed along with the greddy headers. Together greddy said that i should get around 9-11 more hp. This feels about right and it sounds really good and i like the way it looks. I would like it if the tip were not 4.75 inches though. However Greddy is the best so i can deal with it.

Strengths:
sounds good, greddy quality, added power, polished muffler looks good

Weaknesses:
tip could be smaller

 88' RX-7 TurboII

Summary:
Would recomend if you have the cash to spend. There are other units out there for equal performance. I guess any open exhaust/downpipe combo is heaven on a Turbo car!!!!

Strengths:
Looks Awesome and really opens up the airflow on Turbo cars. Idles deep and quiet, and screams on WOT.....

Weaknesses:
Expensive...the RX7 unit comes with dual 4" Cans....it looks awesome though...I guess you get what you pay for.....

Similar Products Used:
Apexi-Also real good, but ike the dual look of the Greddy...The Greddy Unit is also quieter....
