Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $200.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1973 z-28

Summary:
I put them on my 73 camaro and they fit good and were easy to install and the price is very good for a set of coated headers, but you need to run shorter spark plugs for a better fit, accel makes som for $20.

Strengths:
They are inexpensive, and look great.

Weaknesses:
Make changing spark plugs more difficult.

Similar Products Used:
hooker comps, the dynomax's are cheaper and seem to fit better.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $250.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Dynomax

Summary:
Easy to install, dramatic difference in appearance, performance, sound and HP increase. I loved opening up the hood and looking at them, not to mention the rumble I heard!

Strengths:
They looked great, the finish was powder coated, but had a chrome like appearance. They also gave my car an added roar!

Weaknesses:
After about a year, I noticed a tiny bit og rust but nothing to get concerned over.

Similar Products Used:
Have not purchased headers before, but I definitely know which ones to buy in the future.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $230.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 86 Monte Carlo SS

Summary:
The headers look very nice with their chrome type of appearance (I purchased the coated ones). Clearance was satisfactory around the spark plugs area and around the inside fender area. The only tight area is the proximity of one of the header tubes to the oil filter. Very little clearance so you get too much heat dissapated onto the oil filter from the one header tube.Although the headers were available in 1 5/8" diameter, I would have preferred 1 3/4" diameter for my particular application..

Strengths:
Price and fit. Finish is excellent and the finish around the head flanges is very clean.

Weaknesses:
Probably the proximity of one of the header tubes to the oil filter. Although this is not a daily driven vehicle, the header coating is starting to develop some surface rust around the header collector tube and the individual tubes just before the collector. It may be that I affected the surface finish with some trans fluid I spilled and allowed it to get baked on.

Similar Products Used:
I have nothing to compare these headers to.
