Price Paid:  $369.00 from Proficient Performan

Year / Model Reviewed:
1986 Ford F150

Summary:
Headers arrived opened the box and was not impressed by the finish and some of the tube welds pretty rough. Flange welds and gaskets were excellent Only thing really well chromed was the Bassini label welded to the headers. Checked the contents of fasteners and found one collector flange stud was missing but it was easy to find one at the parts store. All the negatives aside the fit of the headers was excellent for my application.although on the drivers side header you will have to slighy grind off some of the metal on the motor mount as it is really close and would rattle if not done. The instructions say about 2 hours for the install but it has a couple of bolts that are quarter turn at the most with no possibility of getting a socket even near them and the rusty manifold and axhaust bolts on the old stuff all in all mine took about 5 hours to install

Strengths:
Great fit no trouble at all getting them in flanges and gaskets are the best ive ever seen they have a trick for holding the gaskets on while you align the header they slip a rubber o ring on the end of the bolt and it holds the gasket with ease flnge fit was excellent perfectly drilled. Well worth the effort

Weaknesses:
Missing fasteners, finish and rough welds no hole for the installation of the o2 sensor, and a couple of bolts that are really challenging to get at
