Review 1 of 138

Price Paid:  $70.00 from lordco

Year / Model Reviewed:
1996 super 40 series/ 96 V8 dodge dakota

Summary:
I love the low rumble it gives at idle and at the lower RPM"s. I just wish it would boom a little louder at the higher RPM's. It just seems to get quiet after i get over two thoudand RPM"s with my truck, but luckily it doesn't operate over that range too much. So it's all good.

Strengths:
sounds good at 2000 RPM"s on my truck

Weaknesses:
seems to loose that sound once u get past 2000 RPM"s

Review 2 of 138

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Gehman's Exhaust

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2LV8

Summary:
I got installed a 10 Series Flowmaster muffler for my truck. It sounds great! Better acceleration, nice sound at low rpms and not to bad interior noise. Hardly hear it at 60mph on cruise. Still have the stock cat on it, but hope to change that soon to a Magnaflow. Went with a single pipe set-up that looks stock but sounds AWESOME!. Only had it for two days now.Great Product!

Strengths:
Better acceleration
Nice sound at low RPMs

Weaknesses:
None so far

Similar Products Used:
None

Review 4 of 138

Price Paid:  $100.00 from local muffler shop

Year / Model Reviewed:
1996 flowmaster 50 series

Summary:
This muffler is worth every cent!! I had it installed, on my 1996 GMC with a 305 5-liter V8. It has this "deep drone sound" that my wife just crave. She just wants to drive it all the time now. "THIS IS MY TRUCK OK!!" So I thought. It's loud enough to be heard, but low enough that I can enjoy my sound system. I'm more than happy with this product. No need to spend $300.00-$1100.00 for this setup.

Strengths:
personal satisfaction, acceleration improvements,

Weaknesses:
none at this point.

Review 5 of 138

Price Paid:  $90.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Flowmaster Super 40

Summary:
At first I was scared this muffler would be too quite or to loud (ricey sound) for my 2000 Infiniti Qx4 3.3L V6. I had a Flowmaster 50 SUV series on it with Dual In and Single out. My factory muffler was dual in and one out, so the FM 50 SUV was the only one that had that option. The FM 50 was too quite, and I heard that the 40 was louder. I purchased the one with Dual ins and Dual outs with 3 1/2" stainless tips. MAN...just perfect for this vehicle. Very deep and aggressive sound when accelerating, and nice rumble when at idle. It sounds like I have a V8 at times. The inside is still quite, which is a very good thing. Keep in mind that the sound of the muffler TOTALY depends on what kind of car and engine you have. It’s perfect for my car.

Strengths:
Deep aggressive sound when accelerating, low rumble when at idle, not too expensive

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Flowmaster 50 Series SUV
