Price Paid:  $600.00 from internet

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Venom 1000

Summary:
Excellent product. However you must make sure that your engine is a high compression(e.g. 9 to 1 or 10 to 1 and above)engine in order to avoid blowing up your engine using the larger nozzles. If you have a lower compression engine, then stick to the smaller orifice nozzles. Not doing so will prove to be catastrophic. The power and torque increase will be quite serious using the larger nozzles.Make sure that your engine is in good condition first. The fuel, ignition and cooling systems, oxygen sensor, map sensor,a clean throttle body, good quality, heat resistant oil,and a high flow(not restrictive)exhaust system are critical for the nitrous system to work well and safely. If you ignore any of them there is a strong chance that you will blow your engine, transmission, or gears. With so many critical connections, dirt in under your hood is not acceptable.Keep it clean. Having said that, the Venom 1000 system will give you the power that you crave. The acceleration is unbelievable. Now I know what the space shuttle crews feel on takeoff.Learning to drive with nitrous is the next step. It's an art that once mastered, there is no going back.Turbos and superchargers don't come even close. The mixture of nitrous oxide and fuel are simply superior in producing power, and that is exactly why it must be understood and respected. If any of you guys or ladies simply slap on a nitrous system and hope for the best, you better have the money for a new engine or transmission. You will need it for sure.If on the other hand you take the time to read the manual, ask questions to technical support and proceed with care, you should have a very enjoyable experience. If in doubt, ask or have a professional explain and or install it for you.I installed the system myself on a Mitsubishi Eclipse non-Turbo,took my time in doing so,did a very clean install and the results are incredible. At the flip of a switch I can turn my car from clark kent into superman. Its the real FAST and FURIOUS,period. All the other modifications that can be done to an engine, only produce low horsepower gains and are usually expensive.Know the limitations of your car and you will be fine, but just like superman,if you don't know what you are doing, are too cocky to admit it,or are simply acting stupid, well, the kryptonite will get you!

Strengths:
A very nice and accurate Rich/Lean (Fuel/Air)indicator and activation switch.Nice and safe computer control of the nitrous.Instructions are clear.High quality product. Not complicated,if you have some basic technical knowledge.

Weaknesses:
The manual recommends that you install the computer module under the hood.NOT A GOOD IDEA.This is why:The engine will run hotter for sure using nitrous(especially with when using the larger nozzles),therefore any computer components close to the engine will be subjected to more heat.Heat is the enemy of computers. They will not last as long and will be more prone to breaking down.A better and cooler place is in the cabin, somewhere under the dashboard. It is much COOLER there, and the wires in the kit are long enough to reach and make the necessary connections. The lights from the indicator can be annoying and distracting at times, when not using nitrous.Covering it,when not in use, should remedy this. Also more expensive than NOS,Nitrous Express, and ZEX.But then again, remember that in this life, you always get what you pay for!

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Venom 1000 from a fr

Year / Model Reviewed:
1985 Cadillac DeVille

Summary:
Got a total sleeper car from my grandma, white caddy, hacked apart the exhaust put some cherry bombs on it, the small block sounded pretty good. My friend blew up his car so I got the kit from him. A Integra pulls up at a light, after the light 2 lanes merge into one. He's got a big spoiler and the works, I start revving a bit, it looks as if he is ready dust me off. Green light the caddy is putting out all she can but he is 2 car lenghs ahead and whinning up. The venommmm gets its chance. Just like that caught up and hard charging ahead, the whole time the rear end is roasting the tires, counter steering because the back end it sliding, beat him to the 1 lane part of the road but lost a rear hub cap

Strengths:
Even with a heavy car this system suprised me.

Weaknesses:
Blew my driveshaft out, execissive torque off the line

Price Paid:  $875.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Venom 1000

Summary:
Venom is not like any other nitrous. nos will mess up your engine after installed and left in and not used. venom does not because the cooled system that comes with it. venom lasts longer and does not waste like nos and nx. zex in the second best in my opinion. i have had venom in my supra for more then two years and my car is working better and i have had no malfunctions and when people say their engines have blown up; its because they installed wrong or did not know how to use nitrous before putting it in the car. so take it from me venom is the way to go.

Strengths:
top quality every push of the button or flip of the switch. Guaranteed to raise your hp/bhp 130 or more. most the time more.

Weaknesses:
takes longer to instal, it takes longer because it is better. dont hold down for long or that will cause your engine to blow.

Similar Products Used:
Zex not nos and not nx
