Review 1 of 116

Price Paid:  $7000.00 from Prequaltiy Preowned

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Ford

Summary:
I have had my insurance with Allstate for 12 years, without an accident, multiple cars, homeowners and renters insurance. My daughter gets into an accident and the car gets totaled. Might I add, I was not given a choice, they said there was no way to fix it. They allowed me to choose the collision center and said it would not matter. NOW, they are saying since I chose the collision center and they do not accept the charges, they are taking it out of my settlement for the car!

I was told they would cover these charges and now they do not want to pay. I am not sure what I have been paying premiums for if I have to pay for everything! They cheated me, and if this review changes your mind about Allstate. I want to call/email them and tell them that you changed your mind about them because of Claim # 0218736346

I want them to know they just did not lose one customer for what they have done.

Review 3 of 116

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2011 sonata

Summary:
I start auto insurence with allstate and to get the insurance card I had to call them more than 10 times and finally I received after 6 months when I had to renew the polocy. I drove my car without insurence card and just the printout of the proof of insurance that they email me. My employee ask for my insurance card but I couldn't provide and had to lie that I loose the card and have order new one. I didnt want to change my insurer so I keep continue with allstate another 6 months and before 1 months to end that 6 months period they mailed me that my insurance is increase without any reasons. so i decided to switch to another insurer and inform them 1 month ahead of time that I am gonna end insurance with them and reconform that if i have to call again to cancel it, but the person whom i talk said i dont need to. To be in the safe side I called a day before my insurance ends and reconform that my insurance would end the day after and the person said it is in the system. BUT 2 DAYS AFTER MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED FOR SIX MONTHS SO I CALLED ALLSTATE REGARDING THIS MATTER. THE GUY I SPEAK WITH NAME ALI TOLD ME THAT I WOULD BE REFUND WITHIN 24 HOURS TO MAXIMUM 48 HOURS. I RECONFORM WITH HIM THAT I NEED MY MONEY TO PAY MY BILLS AND WOULD NEED AFTER 2 DAYS. HE ASSURE ME ABOUT IT BUT I DIDNT SEE THE REFUND EVEN AFTER 4 DAYS. SO I CALLED ALLSTATE AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME THAT ITS GONNA TAKE ONE MONTHS TO GET MY MONEY BACK. THEN I ASK TO TALK TO THE SUPERVISOR AND THE SUPERVISOR TOLD ME HE CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AND I HAD TO WAIT FOR ABOTHE ONE WEEK AT LEAST AND TRY TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS MY MISTAKE THAT I DIDNT INFORM THEM AT LEAST 5 DAYS BEFORE. WHEN I TOLD HIM I HAD INFORM THEM ONE MONTH AHEAD OF TIME AND HE REPLIED THEY DONT DO THAT ONE MONTHS BEFORE. I HAD TO DEAL WITH TOO MANY THINGS AND COULDNT USE MY OWN MONEY AND ALSO HAD TO PAY LATE CHARGE FEE DUE TO LATE PAYMENT OF MY BILLS.SO I WOULD SAY STAY AWAY FROM ALLSTATE AND TRY TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE. THEY HAVE POOR POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Review 4 of 116

Price Paid:  $420.00 from Allstate.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 Honda Civic

Weaknesses:
Allstate Auto insurance - $420 for 6 months

Summary:
You win, Allstate.

You are big, strong, and powerful, Allstate. You can send vicious, tenacious collection agencies after me at your whim. You know I hold my coveted 760 credit score dear, it is my Achilles heel – and you can destroy it with hardly lifting a finger.
Your power move?
Sending me a bill for $49.18.
For what?
I have no earthly idea, and none of your employees are giving it up either.
I spent five months calling 1-800-ALLSTATE – “…where I know I’m in good hands”. Right. I’ve talked to about 45 of your employees in the last five months. If they were allowed to deviate from the script you provide them with, I’d probably know all about their families, hobbies, Middle Eastern life, etc. But they just repeat the same tired phrases again and again – until I say the magic words, “Could I please speak to your supervisor?”
I would think that these customer representatives don’t have such a great gig – but there are NEVER any supervisors around. And I mean NEVER. This seems to be their MO:
Can’t figure out why Allstate sent a bill for $49.18?
Just hang up, there’s no one watching.
The script won’t let you answer the question?
Just say the last phrase 3 times, then start at the beginning of the script again until you wear the customer down and they give up. Who cares if you resolve any issues?
Already been through the script 3 times?
Put the customer on hold, explaining that you need to review the case history and go out to dinner with the family. You deserve a break, and no one is there to say you can’t.
After 45 minutes of scratchy hold “music” and half a bottle of wine (yes, I know I’m not supposed to fill those gigantic wine glasses to the rim –but I’m on the phone with ALLSTATE), I might get a supervisor if the line to India hasn’t been dropped. Supervisors don’t have to follow a script, but they are required to read the case history and after five months of calls, this part takes a really long time. Yay for the second half of the bottle of wine!
After 30 minutes or so, the supervisor will admit that they can’t figure out why Allstate sent me a bill. So… correct the error. Remove the balance from my account and we’re all good, right?
Not quite.
Let’s open an investigation, this will take 7-10 business days. Wait… what? I thought you already were investigating where this bill came from and what it’s for, right? What have I been doing on the phone for the last hour and a half? My liver is already in pain and no one has even started investigating this yet?
Two weeks later, I get a voicemail from Allstate – they have some information for me, just call 1-800-ALLSTATE and talk to one of the representatives. Hmmm… okay. Only one problem – the foreign national at 1-800-ALLSATE can’t find any record of an investigation. So… Let’s go ahead and start with the script!
It’s a beautiful strategy, Allstate – you buy rock-bottom basement priced labor and spend it freely to ensure that you can send bills to me without justification, and you know my liver can’t handle any more phone calls with your script-reading representatives. You have all the power of a big corporation, the credit agencies got your back, and you’ve got my nuts in a vice. So, you win. You can have my $49.18 that clearly means so much to you. You’re an abusive, bullying boyfriend and I’m giving you up for good.

Review 5 of 116

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Grand Prix GT

Strengths:
Very good customer service

Summary:
I called Allstate at 877-754-1378 and was connected to a very nice lady. I was very happy that she spoke ENGLISH! I have called other insurance companies in the past and got connected to some middle east company where the rep couldn't speak English very well and I could only understand ever other word.

When I called this one, the lady was straight to the point, got my information and gave me my quote all within a 5 minute phone call.

I ended up going with Allstate because they were about $15 per month lower than the other companies I called.

I was and am very happy with my service.
