Summary:
CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! American Family is taking advantage of their consumers. Come October 2009 they will be having yet ANOTHER rate increase for both their home owners and auto insurance even though they just had a rate hike in December 2008. This is a very greedy organization!!! I refuse to give them another red cent when I can go to a competitor and save more than $30 alone on my auto policy!

Summary:
These people laughed at me when they said I would get fined from the DMV. They also will not take fault and told me what THEY could have done to stop this from happening. Of course, too late. They won't fix it or pay the $250.00 for me. My registration is about to be suspended due to them. They claim they never spoke to me, after I noted all the times I called. They have no record of phone calls. I switched in a hot second to people I can trust. AVOID AmFam at all costs.

Summary:
I had damage to the roof of my house from a tornado. The adjuster did a terrible job and authorized only a $700 payment to fix the roof. We spent that money on the roof, but because of the structural damage shingles kept blowing off in any wind. I asked them to reopen the claim, but they refused. They were very arrogant and my agent in Charleston, IL was telling me one thing and the campany another. Probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. I plan on leaving them ASAP. I cannot imagine how they would handle a car claim. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

They do not like to pay claims. They are insulting and arrogant. Adjusters don't seem to know what they are doing. They bend the truth to fit the situation.
