Review 1 of 140

Price Paid:  $29000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Infiniti

Summary:
We have Progressive insurance and have had it for a couple of years. One of our cars got totaled by a valet driver who was driving another vehicle and ran a stop sign. The valets insurance company was taking long to pay our car off so Progressive went ahead and paid our car off and is fighting them to get reimbursed. My accident was not counted against me, my insurance rates did not go up. I have been completely satisfied on how Progressive handled my accident. I could check online for all of the progress, including their reports on the damage to my vehicle and gave me a direct contact to my rep. This is by far the best insurance company I have dealt with. The Rep was always curtious and really helpful.

Strengths:
It made the process so smoothly and I didn't have to do a thing!!!

Weaknesses:
none!

Review 2 of 140

Price Paid:  $29000.00 from Burnsville Toyota

Year / Model Reviewed:
2009 Toyota Tacoma

Summary:
I have had a horrible time with my progressive insurance. I brought my truck in for a repair to my driver side door that happened in the middle of the night. They where friendly and quick. I got my truck back in 3 days! Then I noticed that there was a large scratch on my truck and another scuff on the tailgate. There was also 2 5 inch long burns on the cloth of my driver side door as well as the cap of a screw cover broken off. The window has some strange oil that smears everytime I roll the window down. When I brought my truck back I was treated horribly. I was an inconvenience to them. I was insulted. Told my issues where not a big deal and argued with as to if they happened at the auto body shop. All in all I will be switching my insurance coverage right away and spreading the word on the way they treated me after they took my money.

Strengths:
NONE

Review 3 of 140

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I was on the recieving end of an auto accident from someone who has progressive auto insurance. My car that I had just bought 3 days prior to the accident (which wasn't my fault! the man failed to yield at a stop sign) was totaled, and progressive was going to offer me 1048 dollars because thats what they claimed it was worth before the accident because of previous damage to the car ( which they claimed was rust, and there isn't a spot of rust to be seen on my car, only paint fading cause the car is older, other than that it was immaculately clean inside and out)
the blue book price of my car was rating at $1850, and I paid two hundred dollars less than that for the car 3 days before the accident. So for a car accident that wasn't my fault, I'm coming out with out a car, and 600 hundred dollars short, when the auto insurance holder comes out scott free, and miraculously not even hurt, since he was on a motorcycle.

My dad called the insurance company and they said they'd add another 200 dollars, but we aren't going to take anything less than what I paid for my car. They said they would pay up to 70$ on sales tax if I buy another car within 30 days, but its not like I have the money for that now, after I had been saving for ages for that car.

Strengths:
funny commercials

Weaknesses:
totally unfair, and they're representative must be blind, or completely visually impaired.

Review 4 of 140

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1993 Honda Civic

Summary:
I had progressive for over a year because i had heard they had good customer service... when I actually got into a car accident, they went cold... after almost a year in claim's they just now required an ime, and have put off giving me the report for over 3 weeks. i'm still tryin to heal, but i'm not allowed to go to the dr now until we have the report from the results of the ime. they apparently have the information now, but they're dragging their heals. my adjuster has been "out of town" several time, or always out of the office. the car accident itself wasn't my fault, and in the end the other person's ins will be the one we fight, but from how progressive has treated me i would never recommend them. if anything i would say run... run as far away from this insurance company as you can, they're not worth the money you save.

Strengths:
cheaper than most companies

Weaknesses:
customer service, claim's response

Review 5 of 140

Price Paid:  $17000.00 from Honda Dealership

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Honda Civic

Summary:
I have had Progressive car insurance since 2005 and I am very satisfied with them. I haven't had any accidents, but the other person under my policy has had a few and they have handled all of them in a very professional manner, Agents are great, no problems whatsoever with timing. I've totaled 2 cars with this insurance and within a few days I had the check. Their pricing is very fair and relatively cheap considering the luck my other insured driver and his driving record not being too perfect.
Overall I give this company 5 stars for customer service, price and service. I have no complaints whatsoever, only good things to say about this company in the almost 4 years I've been insured by them.
Thank you Progressive!

Strengths:
Everything is 5 star service. Love the lady in the commercials, she's too funny!!! Yeah I know I don't get a discount for agreeing with you! hehehe...

Weaknesses:
None in my experience with them.
