Strengths:
Reservation site is easy to use

Weaknesses:
They picture american made cars on their website but when we try to get one for our reservation they only have foreign made ones available unless we want to upgrade which doubles
our cost. This happens time and time again. We won't be using them again. Way to support America Thrifty

Summary:
After an hour on the phone trying to get someone to help us get an American made car the bottom line is forget it! Price gouging at its best! They advertise American made cars but don't have them available .

Weaknesses:
Thrifty car rental was the worst car rental I've ever used. The salesperson did a poor job of explaining each step in the signing procedure and was a poor listener as I specifically said I did not want insurance three times. It was also stated on my internet reservation that I didn't want any insurance options. When I discovered the error Thrifty was not accomadating at all and wouldn't refund the money to the tune of over $500. I will NEVER use Thrifty again. I feel the salesperson intentionally deceived me.

Advertised as inexpensive rental but there were lots of hidden charges

Summary:
HOrrible customer service. Thought I was getting a cheap rental and then there were tons of add-on fees in the fine print. I will never go there again.

Weaknesses:
It is appalling that I was charged for full tank of gas when I didn't use a full tank of gas. Prepay with other companies is for the convenience of not having to find a gas station and subsequently charged for only what was used. I now understand that this is Thrifty's policy and I will NEVER use Thrifty again.

Summary:
Don't rent from this company. I ordered a car online and noticed a week before the car pickup that I had to change the pick up time from 9:00 to 3:00. Because I changed the pick up time they charged me an extra $330 dollars from the previous quoted price. Phoned and no satisfaction from the company. They said the contract had been changed. Apparently, this is policy for any Thrifty's car rental in the states. Be warned.
