Review 1 of 10

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Summit Racing

Year / Model Reviewed:
 '72 Blazer K5

Strengths:
MUCH SNAP! Can you say holeshot?

Weaknesses:
Wrong application for me. Wouldn't be good for off road either.

Summary:
I bought this clutch for my Blazer to compliment a new Vortec 350 I had installed at the same time. I may have made a mistake choosing this clutch though. Like any one else here that installed it properly I noticed right away it really grabs hard! You can't slip the clutch even if you try. At first I thought it was out of adjustment. Not the case. This truly is a high performance clutch. I would rather have something a little more tame since I tow dirt bikes on occasion. In my truck its either you let the clutch out without giving it ANY gas, it will bog a little but it takes off civilized, or let it out and no matter how little gas you give it it will light up the tires (33"s). It makes me look like an @ss hole at times. It will make most people happy though. I should have done my homework. No fault of the clutch its doing its job.

Review 3 of 10

Price Paid:  $525.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
97 Z28

Strengths:
i spent almost $900 on clutch, install, resurface flywheel, and I told them to put Redline MTL in. damn thing sucks. Im pissed because I wasted all that money and I was happier with my worn out stock clutch. It does grab hard, but catches third not much easier than the stock clutch. Oh yeah, strengths: grabs hard looks very cool, but doesnt matter too much)

Weaknesses:
This is the biggest piece of crap, or the mechanic is the largest pile of dung. I dunno, but I dont have to worry anymore, I bought a Dodge Dakota and a Ford Aspire

Summary:
I no longer have my Z, but I had this clutch put in by "professional car and truck" or something. It was a nice place, pretty spacious, and they had a good price on installation. I always worry when taking my car in for anything. I got the car back and the damn thing chatters. Like it bites and lets go very quickly, but doesnt happen so much when warmed up. I cannot tell if it is the clutch or poor labor.

Maybe I'll get a Motorcraft is the Aspire's go out.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Strengths:
Great lasting ability IF you install it correctly and have the fly wheel machined properly

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
I put a dual friction in my 1992 accord LX 3 years ago and that thing is still gripping like it was bracnd new. These things are great for inports. I will be putting one on my Grand Am GT soon.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Strengths:
installed easily; sometimes aftermarket clutches can be a pain.

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
installed easily, works well, price not too bad. Doesn't have the famous centerforce finger centrifugal clamping weights, though, no room in the honda bell housing.
