Weakness:

A little on the high end for pricing but anyone can find deals shopping around.

This was one of my first mods i've ever done to my car. All i have to say is WOW! Increase in performance was great, the sound of my turbo is just loud and its great! If you ever want to know where to start, start with this intake and you will see what i'm talking about. Its an amazing product!

-Instructions, what instructions????

I just installed the Injen CAI on my car yesterday. I ordered the 2 piece intake that can be used as a Short Ram intake during "monsoon season" (In AZ)... The instructions are THE WORST ever. The pics are small and unclear. The hardest part was getting the stock intake off the car, front bumper cover removal was needed. After that the installation is fairly straightforward. I took the car out for a test run to see the difference... All the work was well worth it. At low rpm's all remains relatively quiet. At about 3000-3500 rpm's the engine breaks loose!!! The sound is awesome and the performance is even better. The gain in overall power is VERY noticeable. The pain in the a$$ installation is DEFINETELY worth it....

Great sound. Improved performance. Nice look under hood.

Weakness:

Pictures on instructions suck!!!

I researched intakes for months, checking dynos for my vehicle, asking for details on the placement of the filter, trying to determine if I could get away with using a CAI in the Northeast. Well after finding out that on the matrix the filter is about 12" off the ground and tucked in the front corner of the bumper I decided the CAI was ok for my needs. I drive about 150 miles a day in any weather and have not had any problems with water getting on the filter. As for the performance, it is great!! A noticable increase, but don't expect too much. The growl it makes at wide open throttle is awesome!

Awsome Sound, Brilliant Polish Look, not as expensive as others. Quality product.

Weakness:

Still none but I'm afraid about any puddles since the filter is very low. Intructions suck!!!

Definitly changes the look of the Vtec Engine. It sounds awsome and you can feel the power on the pedal. I think this CAI and a Cat Back muffler can definitly change your car from a Pinto to a Ferrari.

Power Torque Sound Looks 100% Fit

Weakness:

Instructions where a little fuzzy.

When I got my intake I couldn't wait to put it on. When I finally put it on I stood back and admired how it looked. I started it up and immediatly this hissing sound filled my ears. After I let it warm up I let it rip. My car has never pinned me like that before. The RPM's just flowed to redline. The sound was awesome. I can now easily get second gear rubber. Which I could never before because of the 1.8. My buddy and I pulled up next to one of those CRX's and just blew him away. Also Everytime I shift I hear this whoosh sound. Like a Blow Off Valve. Also If I rev it up there is the Blow Off Sound Its Great.

Strength:

Kick ass sound good gain in horsepower (probably around 10) incomparable throttle response great quality

Weakness:

watch out for puddles, the filter will suck up water and f@ck up your engine I heard cleaning the filter is a pain and you have to do it on average every 10k miles (I've only driven on it about 6k so can't speak from experience)

As soon as I got my car back from my buddy who put on my Injen CAI I immediately noticed a difference. At idle I heard a little hissing sound which sounds dope. You can't really hear the intake at low rpms but when I opened up the throttle I could definetly hear and feel it. The rpms just flowed through the tach from about 4k to redline. Paired with my Tanabe SRM exhaust the sound at VTEC is the SH!T. Also I think that I'm getting better gas mileage but have no proof to back it up with.

Strength:

It looks cleaner, sounds better, crazy horsepower boost, and it is Tornado friendly.

Weakness:

The instructions were a waste of paper. Installation went smoother when I just did what came natural and put it in myself.

I just installed my Injen short ram and the first thing I noticed was how much cleaner and classier it looked under the hood. When I turned the engine on and gunned the throttle, I immediately got goosebumps. The sound this thing made was deep and menacing. But all of this is superficial. The true test was when I got my car out on the open road. Both I and my brother noticed a power increase through the entire rpm range, especially in the 4k to 6k rpm range. Anyone who has a '98-01 Nissan Altima should definately invest in the Injen short ram intake.

Good if your car has VTECH Looks nice Easy to install

Weakness:

Too quiet for me Not much horsepower gain

I have just got my Injen short ram intake system yesterday. It took a little under 30 minutes to do, and this is my first installtion of an intake by myself. The instructions sucked, but still very easy to install. So far it has not impressed me that much. It really hasn't shown me any noticable horsepower increase, but maybe it's because it needs time to adjust the air fuel ratio. Also this is by far the most quiet aftermarket intake tht I have ever heard. I can hear my stock exhaust over it. Well when VTECH kicks in I can hear a baby roar.
