Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 350z

Summary:
I had them as stock tires on my 06 350Z.

I did not know they were absolutly rubbish until I changed to Kumho Ecxta MX.. Kumho has much better ride, less noise, softer sidewall compare to rock solid RE040s, little better grip on dry and much better grip on wet surface. my RE040 lasted me 16000miles and the rears were bald.. my Kumho will last around there too(have put 12000) and time is comming for the rears..

So.. RE040s are garbage.. look something else, Kumho ECXTA MX is Very good choice gor the price.. personally do not like Toyo T1-Rs Loosy Goosy side wall since it doesn't give you any feedback..

I've heard many Auto-X ppl use them as their road$track tires..

thank god they're no more produced..

Strengths:
stiff sidewall if you enjoy.. since it's stiff, it give you alot of feedback.

Weaknesses:
stiff sidewall, threadwear, wet traction.. corners ok, drag= no go..
