from Wal-Mart Year / Model Reviewed: 2006 Uniroyal Touring Trak Summary: I purchased these tires at Wal-Mart on a Sunday morning when no other tire shops were open, and I was forced to replace at least 2 tires due to damage since I was planning a trip the following morning. I was replacing a pathetic set of Bridgestone Turanza EL400s that were OEM for my '06 Civic, almost completely bald and incredibly noisy. I went ahead purchased 4 of these and hoped to at least get mediocrity, which would be a substantial improvement from the original tires. Now, almost 5000 miles later, I am very impressed with these tires. They are very quiet, handle torrential rain with no hint of hydroplaning, and offer more grip in light snow than I have the courage to test the limits of. Assuming I continue my current level of satisfaction throughout their life, I won't even consider a different tire for their replacement, regardless of price. Strengths: Incredible value. The OEM Bridgestone tires would have cost me at least 50% more, and they aren't 1/2 the tire of these Uniroyals. Weaknesses: It seems that Uniroyal makes little or no attempt to market these tires, and if not for them being one of the few available in the size I needed at Wal-Mart on a desperate Sunday morning, I wouldn't have ever considered them. Similar Products Used: Michelin Hydroedge (real nice tire, but pricey), Bridgestone Turanza EL400 (not sure these were even round), Continental Contitrac (awful in rain/now)
