Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Nissan Pathfinder SE-OR 4x4

Strengths:
Not much, unless you live in a place where the pavement is always dry and the weather is warm.

Weaknesses:
-RAIN
-SNOW
-SLUSH
-ICE
-COLD WEATHER

Summary:
These are OEM on my 2005 Pathfinder SE OFF ROAD edition. Let me start by saying these tires are horrible! I wanted to change them after driving on them for a couple of months, but this is a lease and i'm paying enough for this car as it is, so i've learned to live with them. They are horrible in the rain and break lose if you aren't careful. Don't even think about slamming on the brakes when the pavement is wet! I was on the highway once going around a slight turn (speed limit) while it was raining and the tires broke lose, but thankfully traction control kicked in, but it was enough to scare all 6 passengers to death! YES, i had 6 people in the car and the extra weight didn't even help!

The good thing is i have 4X4 so driving in the snow wasn't too bad. In 2wd these tires in snow are awful, I can't even get out of the driveway if theres a few inches of snow on the ground until i switch to 4wd mode.

The only time these tires are decent is on dry warm pavement. Close to 3 years and almost 27,000 miles later these tires are pretty worn out and have cracks everywhere. My lease on the car is up in 5 months but i still have another winter to go through and these tires won't make it through another winter, unless i want to put my self and others in danger. I'm now also sharing this car with another family member so it looks like i will have to change tires, better be safe then sorry!
