from Dealer (new on vehic Year / Model Reviewed: 2003 Ford F150 Strengths: 38,000 miles? Weaknesses: High noise, Low traction Summary: When I purchased my new vehicle it came with the B F Goodrich Longtrails as standard equipment. From the beginning I noticed that the tires would break loose from the pavement fairly easily with moderate acceleration. The F150 has a v8 Triton and relatively low body weight with no load, so at first I thought perhaps it was just an adjustment to be made on my part. However in the intervening years it has become a real annoyance dealing with these tires. In even a light rain they have little traction and the rear tends to slide. They have always been loud and mywife has never enjoyed riding in my vehicle due to the bouncy ride. Turning corners in either direction at low speeds has always been accompanied by a loud squeal. I keep the tires inflated properly and tipically drive 30 miles a day half of wich is highway driving. The tires are now 38,000 miles old. The two fronts have developed separated belts and the two rears are now less than 5mm of tread. While I feel I should have had a bit more life out of them, I am far more dissatisfied with the performance I received while they lasted.I have just replaced them with a competitors product and am already pleased that all the above issues seem to be resolved.
