This has got to be the worst tire I have ever run, no snow or ice traction what so ever, very noisy on the pavement, I would not run, or recommend these to anyone!!

Strength:

good dry and warm/wet tires

Weakness:

snow / ice stopping, starting, handling

These tires are treacherous in the snow, slush, and ice! If you need to go in the snow avoid these tires.

Strength:

Ride well, very quiet, handle reasonably well, inexpensive!!

Weakness:

None!

These tires are by far the best buy for the money. They handle well, are great in wet/snow and are very quiet. They make my 1993 Accord EX Wagon ride great too! It is hard to find tires that fit all the pieces you are looking for but with these tires I am very satisfied.

Strength:

Quiet, quiet, quiet. Ride is smoother too.

Weakness:

None so far.

Just bought these tires as replacements for stock Bridgestone tires on a 2001 Honda Accord V6. Noticed how quiet they are immediately after leaving the Costco parking lot. They handle well although I've not tested them on wet or snowy pavement.

Strength:

Good wet weather traction. Sturdy construction. Low price.

Weakness:

Needed to replace a set of Goodyear Eagle GT+4 tires. Found out they cost $130 each so I considered other options. Purchased the BFG Touring T/A HR4 and have been very satisfied with them. Dry pavement traction is about the same as the Goodyear tire, but the BFG wet pavement traction is considerably better. A good all season touring tire. Goodyear tires are way over-priced.

Model Reviewed: 1989 Volvo 744 Turbo

Strength:

Good handling, smooth, quiet, great traction all around, cheap.

Weakness:

-REALLY stiff, makes it extremely difficult to mount the tires on the rims.

I got these last May for my '90 Volvo 764 turbo at the time (totalled that in Dec. due to weather, was using my snow tires also, not the BFG's) and I have nothing but praise for these tires. Long-wearing, great handling and steering response, smooth, quiet ride, lots of traction in wet and dry. These are probably the best tires you can get for the (minimal) amount of money you'll pay.

Strength:

hydroplanning resistant, comfort, quietness

Weakness:

Extreme cornering compared to my replaced Ultra High Performance Dunlop SP5000 - expected.

I put these BFG Touring TA VR4 (205/55-15) on my Passat and the ride comfort has increased dramatically not to mention the lack of hydroplanning. I am very happy, especially with the $89 price at COSTCO that included mount/balance/road hazzard.

I just replaced my Goodyear Eagle RS/A tires with Goodrich Touring TA HR/4 on my Grand Prix GSA. So far I am very impressed. Tire road noise is noticable less. They are much quieter! Handling is excellent. So far, very happy.
