Price Paid:  $0.00 from dealership duh

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 ford zx2 s/r

Summary:
These came stock on my 2000 ford zx2 s/r,in 205 55zr 15's ,the smallest size they come in..I like them! expensive though,i can corner harder then heck(car was rated stock .97g on slalom) i have ebachis and tokico's with match fluid rate and energy suspension..i cant take a turn as fast as my car can push and i wont spin out..sometimes i get steering push but usaully cause of sand..comparing these to my 205 40 17 bfgoodrich scorcher t/a's the goodyear is way better...little noisy nothing more then any other directional ...ride is smooth..and there awesome about 100mph..i had these up to around 145...and was smooth as silk :D..personally i couldnt afford to buy them..luckly they came stock on the car ...there also not a good milager...i got maybe 15k on mine..and there almost had it..

Strengths:
corning and take off

Weaknesses:
wear and price

Similar Products Used:
bfgoodrich scorcher t/a in yellow...205 40 17..(dont buy these) was good once..for looks but thats about it..

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $0.00 from stock

Summary:
Do not buy these tires. They came stock on my 2002 Camaro SS and I only have 10k miles on them. I had my first problem after only 400 miles (a puncture in the tread). Sure that can happen anytime, just bad luck. The second happened at 2500 miles (a puncture of the sidewall, unrepairable). So I buy another new one to replace it. Now at 10k miles, another sidewall puncture on a third different tire. I'm guessing the problem is a soft sidewall that is unprotected during cornering. I'm writing this review because I'm looking up reviews on my replacement set. I can't believe I have to replace my tires after 10k miles. At least they seem to wear fairly decent.

Strengths:
Looks and decent dry traction. Not too bad on treadlife if you don't drive it like you stole it all of the time.

Weaknesses:
Soft, unprotected sidewall during cornering. Price.

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $180.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99 Volvo S70

Summary:
This tire has not been impressive as the Yokohama''s I had previously on my car. Good steering feed back but kinda scary when you go quickly on a turn because they just break loose. Twice I have spun out, something that has NEVER happened with my Yokohama''s. One thing is for sure, this is the last time I ever purchase a Good Year product. The performance of this tire does not justify the crazy price. Do yourself a favour and avoid Good Year. There are many, many better tires out there for a better price.

Strengths:
Attractive, good steering feedback

Weaknesses:
slippery, and tire feels too hard

Similar Products Used:
Yokohama Avid

Review 4 of 7

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 Corvette

Summary:
This tire is ok, not great. These tires are so expensive that it makes me wonder why they don't perform better. Cornering is allright but if you take a turn too fast, you will loose control very quickly which is something I had never experienced with any other tire. I don't find this tire very impressive and I strongly advise anyone from spending the big bucks on this tire because you will feel like you got ripped off. When these tires wear out, I will not be getting Good Years again. I have had great experience with Japanese tire brands so that will most likely be what I will look for. And one more thing which I don't understand. This tire uses a compound derived from Formula 1 rain technology?? I think they are lying because I got a set of tires on my wifes Audi that I bought at Wal-Mart and they have better wet traction!!!

Strengths:
Good cornering grip untill you reach the limits

Weaknesses:
average wet traction and an insane price

Similar Products Used:
none on this car, but other car (Nissan 300ZX) I had Bridgestone SO2 which is a superior tire!

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $155.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1996/3000GT

Summary:
I visited a couple of internet sites and found extremely reasonable pricing on the 225/55/ZR16 F1-Steels. I found a price for around 165.00/ea + tax + s/h. I was able to get the price beat at Penske Auto Service (usually found near or in a K-Mart) for 155.00 total. I would recommend this tire and would use it again becuase of the great deal that I received and the extra kick I get on drive pavements. I'll just catch the bus on rainy days.

Strengths:
Performs exceptionally well on drive pavement. Will get an extra kick when pushing the 0-60 barrier. Corning is also exceptional. I've had no problems taking corners ar 80 MPH (not recommended for any sane person).

Weaknesses:
Wet and/or Sandy roads are a real problem. The tire just does not perform as expected on anthing less than absolutely drive surfaces

Similar Products Used:
Have Not used pther Z-rated tires prior to F1-Steel
