Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Porsche 911/993

Strengths:
Fantastic dry tire. Respectable life.

Weaknesses:
So-so in wet.

Summary:
These tires originally came with my Porsche, and I thought they were very generic looking. On the track, though, they were incredibly sticky, allowing me to often beat guys on R compound tires. I got about 16 track days out of them. These tires are underrated and, unfortunately, discontinued. Hopefully, the new Pilot Sports will be better in the wet. As with all high perf tires, these tires are slippery when cold.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $350.00

Strengths:
1.Tenacious grip
2.Great road feel
3.Give confidence at high speed
4.Good wet traction also

Weaknesses:
1.Extremely short tread life. I mean these suckers were gone in 10-15K miles.

Summary:
I have had these tires on two different cars ( BMW M3 and Toyota Supra turbo) at the same time. Boy, seemed like once a year or so I had to shell out ~ $1400 or so for a new set of pilots. Of course I drove the cars like hell but would expect more life out of such an expensive tire. I continued to replace them to maintain the awesome handling of the cars.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $250.00

Strengths:
Corners like i'm driving on rails!! Large footprint/looks good. Amazing handling

Weaknesses:
Like the guy below:PRICE!!! ouch!

Summary:
I'm well into my second set of MXX'3. What I couldn't figure out is why the price went up $30(CDN) per tire after 2yrs??? Pay the price for the best I guess. I could have gone with the Firehawk tires but the footprint is smaller and would look terrible!! So I shelled out the extra bucks. You can really push these tires around corners and they won't let you down (into the ditch haha). If you have the money (or a company credit card!!) GET 'EM!!!

Review 4 of 4

Strengths:
Good traction, lasts forever, looks great, better gas mileage

Weaknesses:
price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price, price

Summary:
Very good tires that are reliable. It's amazing what a good set of tires can do for handling, gas mileage, look and feel of your car. But I don't know if they're worth that much money. You can get pretty close to this performance with much cheaper tires. I don't know if I'll buy them again.
