Review 1 of 65

Price Paid:  $600.00 from America's Tire

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus

Strengths:
Long life
Good traction
Good snow performance

Weaknesses:
None do far

Summary:
This is the longest lasting tire I have ever seen.
I bought a set of 4 for my Volkswagen Passat GLX 4 Motion in summer 2006 and used America's Tire free rotation service every 10k miles or so. As of April 2016, I have 75k miles on them and the tread wear has just moved from green to yellow. I drove up to Lake Tahoe last month and the tires performed very well in snow. I guess I will be able to use them for another year or two. I think the secret is keeping the car in a garage - exposure to sun light causes damage to tires over time.

Review 3 of 65

Price Paid:  $0.00 from OE on VW

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 MXV4 Plus Energy

Strengths:
smooth ride

Weaknesses:
fell apart

Summary:
After a couple of years, had an unexpected flat. (Dealer wouldn't cover it with purchased tire warranty.) Other front tire showed similar damage. Replaced both.
Today, noticed a crack b/n sidewall & tread on the other two. 75000 miles and good tread left.
Would NOT recommend buying these. IF you already have them, KEEP an eye on them.

Price Paid:  $42500.00 from Dodge Dealer in Nort

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Dodge Grd Caravan

Strengths:
Great ride and handling. Have over 60,000 miles on them and they have worn evenly and still have 3/32 of tread.

Weaknesses:
They dry rotted very early on. Van does stay out in the Florida sun. Did not seem to hurt tire.

Summary:
Great tires, would buy them again.

Review 5 of 65

Price Paid:  $0.00 from installed on Hyudnda

Year / Model Reviewed:
2009 Michelin Energy MXV4+

Strengths:
NONE

Weaknesses:
Price
Mileage
Road noice
general failure to meet expectations

Summary:
These tires are horrible. They are rated at 30,000 miles but at 15,386 they are worn out. I called Michelin to file a claim; they explained it was my car!

The Hyundai explained that most people are replacing the tires within one year.

There are many better choices out there than Michelin. I recommend Sumitomo tire or similar Goodyear Tire.
