Review 1 of 11

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
These are decent touring tires, but not great in terms of performance if you are an aggressive driver. Compared to 2 other similar tires I''ve driven on before, dry traction is quite good (4/5), wet traction average (3/5). cornering is average (3/5), and steering response is average (3/5). Noise level and ride are both average (3/5). Wear is horrible (1/5)... after 2000 miles on them, the tire is already 20% worn. One thing I really dislike about these tires is that they squeal all the time. But perhaps that''s a common trait for Grand Touring tires. I used to get a lot of that on the Michelin MXV4 Plus. In terms of performance, the Dunlop Sport W-10 was much better, but that tire was horribly loud, even brand new!

Strengths:
dry traction, but not from a complete stop.

Weaknesses:
cornering, wear, wet traction, snow traction (for an all-season tire).

Similar Products Used:
Michelin Energy MXV4 Plus (good wear, quiet and good ride but poor traction and cornering, expensive tire) Dunlop SP Sport W-10 (excellent performance but really noisy)

Review 2 of 11

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 96 Camry V6

Summary:
I initially bought this set because I''ve heard good things about them. After using it for about 20,000km it starts to lose traction very quick even with thick trend. Traction in wet/snow is completely unpredictable. Stay away from P6000SV if your location rain/snow a lot.

Strengths:
Good dry traction.

Weaknesses:
ABSOLUTELY NO TRACTION in wet or snow.

Similar Products Used:
OEM Dunlop SP4000 all-season. Wet/Snow traction was a lot better than this!

Review 3 of 11

Price Paid:  $85.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 95 monte carlo

Summary:
A very nice tire. It handles well, has excellent stopping and cornering grip. I would highly recommend them.

Strengths:
very good wet traction, excellent dry braking performance. Awesome cornering grip

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
Dunlop D60 A2 - Dunlop is better under braking and in the wet, but the Pirelli's are better in high speed cornering. Dunlops were slighly cheaper so I would go back to them for the $. Pretty even performance between the two

Review 4 of 11

Price Paid:  $100.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1996 Ford Thunderbird

Summary:
I got these tires in 225/60/16 to replace the original Goodyear GT+4 (which lasted only 30,000km) on the stock rim. When I got in and drove away from the tire shop, I spun the wheels when I got on the road for the first time. Wet traction absolutely sucks too. They're a decent touring tire for the family station wagon, but if you want any performance like grip, definitely get something else.

Strengths:
Cheap, quiet, no problems

Weaknesses:
Lousy grip, wet or dry

Similar Products Used:
Goodyear Eagle GT+4, Bridgestone Potenza RE71

Review 5 of 11

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1997 VW Jetta

Summary:
Excellent product. I find them a little "slippery" when they're pushed really hard. Wet weather traction is excellent until they start to wear.
Also beware of gravel. These tires don't take kindly to it. (No rally races with these babies) Extremely quiet ride. Not sure I'd purchase them again. Would like to try out the Dunlops or Yokohama's.

Strengths:
VERY Quiet. Great dry weather performance.

Weaknesses:
Wouldn't even want to attempt driving in the snow. (They're not rated as all seasons anyways) but still.

Similar Products Used:
Goodyear Eagle GA's (oe on my car) Pirelli's slaughter the GY's.
