Review 1 of 103

Price Paid:  $190.00 from online

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Nissan Sentra SER SpecV

Strengths:
Cheap, affordable, excellent ride height, and definitely an upgrade from OEM.

Weaknesses:
I can't find anything. If I were to choose, I guess---> No color choices? LOL!

Summary:
Great product!! I love the ride height, especially during the snowy seasons! Definitely better than OEM. I've had dramatically lowered ones before and they were rough as far as drivability was concerned. I used these in AutoX races and it performs well. It's my daily driver so I chose these instead of the more radically stiff full coilovers. One day I will though.
Overall, if you want a somewhat race performing spring with great driveability comfort. These are the springs for you.

Review 2 of 103

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1996 Golf 3

Strengths:
Brand name, improved handling

Summary:
I upgraded from the stock springs on my golf. The eibach kit was cheaper than oem gti springs which i was originally looking for. Ride quality is comparible with the gti in terms of firmness, although the progressive springs do soften small bumbs better. Got about a 30mm drop. Im happy with the product.

Review 3 of 103

Price Paid:  $320.00 from Speedtech Racing Dev

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Acura 2.3 CL

Strengths:
- streetable, comfy ride
- no rear camber kit required, only alignment adjustment needed was toe-in
- eliminates the big up and down motions at highway speeds that are bothersome in the stock Accord suspension
- not enough of a drop to scrape muffler on things in most cases

Weaknesses:
- can still feel smaller up and down motions around town, suggests spring tuning is a bit conservative
- Neuspeed or H&R would be a better choice for more hard core tuner people
- can't match handling sharpness of a full coilover kit
- can't get Eibach Pro-Dampers for this car

Summary:
This is a highly streetable product that won't wreck your car's ride (depends on your choice of dampers of course). When I first got this I felt like I was sitting down on the street and I still feel like I sit lower than most cars (in Calgary everybody wants to drive a truck) In the Acura CL or Honda Accord, due to its 1.3 inch drop this is about the only product that will eliminate almost completely the wheel well gap and have it not look awkward like a race car. H&R OE isn't enough of a change and H&R Sport or Eibach Sportline will make your ride worse and require a rear camber kit. I'd say 1.5 inch drop max for this car for it to still properly integrate with the rest of your stock parts. 2/3 or 3/4 dive and squat eliminated due to shorter suspension travel. I do notice short up and down motions instead of the old large ones at highway speeds, 65 mph plus, which is where I found the stock suspension objectionable. This suggests the Tokico Illumina/Eibach Pro Kit combo is still a bit soft for serious race use. A coilover kit, if you are willing to pay the price premium and need the ride height adjustability will give you better handling because the dampers and coils are designed to work together.

Review 4 of 103

Price Paid:  $235.00 from AndysAutoSport.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Malibu

Strengths:
Great lowering stance/center of gravity, ride quality

Weaknesses:
I scrap because of my bodykit, but I'm getting better.

Summary:
Great upgrade, I believe suspension should always be your first upgrade in any vehicle. So far I still ride comfortably, but i recommend aftermarket struts or shocks. My stock struts were shot shortly after install. My ride is 1.5" lower and I hug the corners.

Review 5 of 103

Price Paid:  $600.00 from Sears

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Eibach Pro Kit Springs

Strengths:
Improved the appearance without making the car look like a sled. Firm, solid ride. Markedly improved take off and cornering (very sure cornering) - no guessing whether they are worth the money. The car actually drives like a sports car now. Two cool Eibach decals come with the kit.

Weaknesses:
Be ready for more distinct thumping sounds and more sports car-like ride over the bumps than original springs, but, there should not be any banging or clanging.

Summary:
I put Eibach Pro Kit springs on my 04 Alero about 1 month ago and am happy I did. They lowered the car nicely, about 1.5 inches front and back, and everyone who knows the car thinks it looks great now. Even wifey noticed and loves the look and she couldn't care less about cars. CORNERING is unbelievably tight as there is NO BODY SWAY. One thing I had to get used to is that the car now wants to make much tighter turns than before - which I like a lot. I was and still am amazed at the take off - smoother than original and cat like. RIDE QUALITY: Initially there was a distinct sharp bang from the right front wheel. Before installing the springs I had read the reviews at CARREVIEW so I expected that, but, as I drove the car more and more over rough roads the bang became irritating and unacceptable. Before taking it back to the mechanic I jacked the front of the vehicle up and while it was supported on an approved stand I twisted the right front spring about 1 inch clockwise. Since then - no more bang out of that area and still a smooth, firm, sure, ride. Also, NO RUBBING from the tires as clearance still is respectable. I have 16 inch wheels on the Alero now (original) and will be putting on 18 inch wheels in April for summer driving fun and appearance. Can't wait. Did the measuring and as long as I stay within the fitment recommendations I am expecting no problems. I think before lowering a vehicle it would be a good idea for the owner to do some measuring and then get a company like Sears (where I purchased the springs and had the installation done) to sign off on the job. That way, if there is a problem such as wheel rub or bottoming out that can't be fixed Sears can make good on the deal. Anyway, I am very happy with Eibach Pro-Kit springs and recommend them. Best part of all, I got two cool Eibach decals out of the deal. Not bad A-tall for $640! Price includes installation and alignment.
