Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $139.00 from Comptech

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Acura TSX

Summary:
Nice improvement over stock sway bar. Really tightens up rear suspension and takes the "body roll" out of turns, corners, highway on/off ramps etc. Make sure when installed that whoever does it uses provided bushings and does not grease them. Also check end links and make sure bar and suspension is torqued properly. I spent 4 months with a rear ssuspension thumping sound that my dealership could not find nor fix. Ended up replacing end links and getting a tech guy that worked on "tuner" cars to address the problemand he fixed it the first time. This rear end thunosing noise has been a common problem for TSX owners upgrading to this bar so just be aware of this issue.

Strengths:
Improved handling and cornering ability

Weaknesses:
Stiffer suspension really makes you feel the bumps in the road more so than stock.

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Acura Integra

Summary:
The Comptech piece is a very good starting point for making the DC chassis great. If you have one modification to your suspension (other than tires), this should be it. Personally, I find no advantages over running a stock Integra R sway bar, which is what I now run on my SCCA Solo2 car (with adjustable shocks of course); the Comptech is 3 times the price, and the factory end links provide the perfect feel for the Type-R part. Most people talk about swinging the rear end in corners; this is not the point. Look for the adjustment that makes the car the most stable. I have found that with the 22mm rear bar the car is actually less tail-happy -- the rear end can keep up witht the front's motion as you change directions rapidly. The rear end can be suddley stepped out on request, without entering a corner with too much speed in order to command it, and more speed can be carried through the corner. Best of all, this mod makes the car easy to drive fast. Who wants to get embarrased, and who likes to feel great about their skills?

Strengths:
Adjustable (only a plus if you have adjustable shocks - stock is a good setting!)

Weaknesses:
-Price, but if you can afford nice springs and some good-quality shocks, this should not be too bad. -Quality? Why not a stock part available from your local friendly Acura dealership? Once again cost is around $100.

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $290.00 from autocarparts.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2003 Acura TL Type S

Summary:
I needed something to go along with the H&R Sport Springs i got and the Comptech Swaybars were the weapon of choice! This swaybars completely take away the roll when going into a turn, and making quick turns at high speeds on the high way helps too! Along with being able to gun it onto on ramps!!

Strengths:
Incredible Suspension Improvement. Tighter Turns Tighter Handling

Weaknesses:
Get Tires to go with these. I also have springs, but they aren't necessary. Swaybars will have a big impact by themselves.

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $299.00 from Comptech

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999 Civic B18B hybrid

Summary:
Great sway bar! I feel much safer using this sway bar then any other out there. Many people have horror stories of tearing their subframes out using other companies sway bars, but the lower tie bar on Comptech''s system assures that the sway bar has a solid base to mount on.

Strengths:
Safe, 3-way adjustable stiffness, perfect fit. All the hardware is perfect, just the way Honda would have engineered it. It also looks awesome under the car. When ride up on a civic or integra with this piece bolted up, you know they mean business.

Weaknesses:
None so far.

Similar Products Used:
Suspension techniques sway bar. The Suspension Techniques bar was stiffer, but I ran the risk of tearing my subframe with it so I was always paranoid to drive it too hard.
