Ford Flex SUV | Crossover

Ford Flex SUV | Crossover

DESCRIPTION

Pros:

  • 355 hp 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost engine
  • Roomy and functional cabin
  • Innovative list of standard and optional high-tech features
  • Third row seating with legroom that fit adults
  • Easily identified styling
Cons:
  • Less cargo space compared to others in same class
  • Standard second-row bench seat doesn't slide
  • Expensive EcoBoost and additional option packages
Ruling: The 2011 Ford Flex is a handsome, high-tech alternative for families who want minivan features without minivan style. Its unique exterior design, powerful engine options and spacious third-row seat make it a winner in its class.

New for 2011 is the addition of a new Titanium model. It slots in above the previous top-end Limited trim and starts at just over $40,000. An expensive proposition for a family SUV. However, for the money you get all the bells and whistles the Flex offers, including standard navigation and a power liftgate, plus a bunch of blacked-out exterior features that make the Flex look even more bad-ass than it already does.

The 2011 Flex comes standard with front-wheel drive, while all trims except the base model have available all-wheel drive. It comes in several trims -- the base SE, SEL, Limited and all-new Titanium.
