Kenny Brown. Mustang enthusiasts will have no trouble telling you who this man is. For those who aren't familiar with the name, simply put, he's Mr. Mustang. He's the founder of Kenny Brown Performance located in Indianapolis, Indiana which specializes in performance parts packages for a number of Ford vehicles, and best known for his Ford Mustang tuning.
We happened to be in the area and decided to stop by Kenny's shop to see what was cookin'. Little did we know we'd get the full tour and such special treatment! Trying not to drool all over the shop floor, we were led through the facility and got to see a number of current projects and customer cars. Just imagine walking past cases and cases of parts that'll make your car handle like an all out race car! And what's that I see? The all popular Mustang CSR (Club Sport Racer) built by the Kenny Brown team. This street-legal race car is available in several different variations, all specified by the customer. They take a brand new 2001 Mustang and tune the engine and suspension to race specs. For the hardcore racer, there's also the top model CS/PR (Club Sport Pro Racer) which is the full-race version configured especially for racing circuits. Again, these cars are built to customer specifications and are very affordable starting at under $70k. Not bad for a brand new, custom-spec, racing machine. And if you're still not convinced, take a drive in one! It will make you look at Mustangs in a whole new light. Trust us, we were fortunate enough to get a ride at the time of our visit. We also got a look at their Crown Victoria performance packages named the Panther P1 and P2. The idea behind this sleeper is a combination of luxury and amazing power. You can get a your car tuned by Kenny Brown in a few different ways, including sending the car directly from the factory to the Kenny Brown shop or simply taking it in yourself.
