Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $650.00 from sounds deluxe

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 4100.2 powerplate 25th ann. edition

Strengths:
supurb SQ, big power

Weaknesses:
doesnt like to be pushed with a heavy load for a long period of time

Summary:
not much for looks, but elegant. by far the best sounding amp running my system which is: Alpine CDA-7850 HU A/D/S A6IS 6 1/2 component set 8in Kicker L7 solo-baric in custom ported box and of couse the 4100.2 the amp tends to heat up once in a great occasion only if im running it strong for a good amount of time but other than that it been my best friend!!! its awesome i suggest it to anyone who wants a good loud and really really clean amplifer!

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $580.00

Strengths:
Clean, clean, clean.

Weaknesses:
None

Summary:
This is a very clean amp. The sound quality is beyond my expectation in car audio. It has tremendous power and avoids the harshness normally found in powerful amps. I have it powering a pair of a/d/s 336is component speakers. This is a very good combination. I have a soundstream 1000 watt amp powering 3 JL audio 10W3's and this amp matches the power with out a problem. Great amp!

Review 3 of 3

Year / Model Reviewed:
 4100.2

Strengths:
The amplifier is great. Much of the features are not available on other amplifiers, including balanced inputs, signal pass through, 2nd or 4th order crossovers, high power ouput, and a beautiful finish.

Weaknesses:
Weight, this amplifier weighs about 15lbs, but the trade off of more weight, but higher quality components is worth it.

Summary:
This is a great amp. But, if you are one of those guys who wants sliding doors, neon lights, and all other bells and whistles, this is not for you. But what you will get is a great performer, and high performance amps. The crossover selection is great, also is the passthrough for other amplifiers. Great amp, I'd recomend it to anyone who wants a high class amp, with out all the gimics.
