Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Alpine MRD-M300

Strengths:
Little drain of the battery. Produce more than rated power. Sleek Design. Theft protection

Weaknesses:
Price. Bass remote should be included More low kick would be nice

Summary:
Small gem to bring lots of power. 2Ohm load is must. Tuning features are one of the best and properly set up it can pound serious bass. Drives single R10 with smooth and loud bass. Bass remote control is excellent feature, but cost extra with few dealers carrying it. It is kind of expensive for power rating, but 24dB crossover and Q adjustments always add at least $100 to the total. New design is also a great bonus for clean installation.

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $200.00 from ebay

Strengths:
Unbeatable power for its size, runs soo cool, infinate settings possibilities, fantastic looks

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
If you need a small sized, cool running amp to make a single high end sub slam, this is THE amp! I have compared this amp to my friends older alpine 500W amp and this one kicks its ass. The bass that comes out of this thing is clean and clear with no fear of sub blowing distortion. Also, this amp is way under rated, it comes with a card from the factory with the actual Watts that each amp produces in a test and mine said 343W RMS, so figure this to be more like a 350W amp. Beyond the power, this amp has more features than I have seen on any given mono amp, and the nice thing is all the settings are displayed on the digital read out. This amp was made to be shown off, so if you can install it where you can see it, do it, because it comes with an internal thermometer and volt/amp meter which is displayed in real time on the readout along with the nice deep blue LED. Best looking amps around. Perfect for the R series subs (I have one 10" and it is as louder than my friends JL 12w3).
