Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Tweeter

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 TDM7561

Strengths:
The removable faceplate is easy to use. It has enough power for your average factory speakers.

Weaknesses:
Very annoying, poorly thought-out interface with tiny buttons. I don't think they thought that people would be driving while using it. Breaking the power, like when starting the car after listening with the ignition in ACC, results in an annoying +-6 second pause before the sound comes back. Impossible to see the display in bright sunlight (typical for an LED display, I suppose) No Dolby.

Summary:
Good power. Poor interface. I can't remember how much I paid, but I don't think it was much, and I got what I paid for, barely.

Other Alpines, factory Honda head units (BEST interface in the business...who makes them?), JVC

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1989 Volkswagen Jetta GTX

Strengths:
wonderful - great interactive display. I have a 6 cd changer in the back, so it works great with that.

Weaknesses:
The tape deck has to recieve the tape and pull it in - I'd reather be able to just shove it in.

Summary:
Very good - I have no idea how much it costs becuase I got it after insurance covered my car vandilization. I haven't had a single problem yet, though.
