from A Friend Year / Model Reviewed: CDA-9855 Strengths: Looks Awesome, comes with EVERY feature you could ever want (and some you maybe don't) and with MX and Bass Engine Pro it will add an entire new dimension to your System. Weaknesses: Glide Touch, great idea but it really falls short when it comes to its functionallity. you learn to live with it though Summary: If you Know anything about car audio then you know that Alpine WAS the leader i high end car audio decks. Almost all of the new Alpine decks are a disgrace to their name and this is one of the last, and possibly the best alpine deck every made. Fully loaded with Media Expander (which makes an amazing difference in sound quality), bass engine pro, full graphic and parametric EQ as well as crossover controls and even time correction. I have the KCA-420i so I can play my Ipod through the deck and fully control it without even touching my Ipod which is really cool. The only downfall of this deck is its "revolutionary" feature, the Glide Touch. It is cool and works alright but the scrolling is very slow and cumbersom and it can take minutes to fine the song or artist you are looking for on your Ipod. Otherwise I love the deck and have just gotten used to making playlists on which are easyer to access and navigate than individual artists. I have over $3000 worth of speakers, subs and amps in my car and this deck is the perfect controller, best sound I have ever heard. Similar Products Used: Alpine CDA-9833
