from ultimate audio Year / Model Reviewed: 2002 Toyota celica GT w/action package Strengths: Good movement, clear screen, bass engine. Weaknesses: Bass engine drives right into ure mids and hi's, flaky black paint, it's like Alpine put their best screen and worst headunit together and charged you alot.
Dated look. Summary: The alpine is a decent headunit, but it has it's flaws. One is the lack of a customizable E.Q., which allows bass into the mid and high speakers. Another is it's lack of a built in dvd/cd player, especially when the compitition has this capability. It slides in and out well, screen looks nice, but the face is plain dated looking. As of late my volume knob has stopped working a few times, and the black paint on the preset buttons is coming off, exposing green light from underneith. Buy a Pioneer at all costs, or maybe a kenwood if budget is a concern ( always is lol) Similar Products Used: Pioneer cd/mp3, eclpise audio, Panasonic.
