Price Paid:
$100.00
from Halfords Year / Model Reviewed: N/A SPS-170A Strengths: quality sound.
Gives more sound effects than the other top brands.
Looks kool.
Can handle most stereo systems.
All in all its a must buy. Weaknesses: The price, although once you payed out for them, you dont regret doing it. Summary: I compared this speaker to a selection of others ranging from infinity to jbl to pioneer, and i love pioneer. The mentioned models sounded as sweet as you can ask for. They had all the sound quality and standards you could ask for, but once i turned on the Alpine SPS-170A it was a completely different feeling. I felt ripped of by the other speakers. The alpine gave so much more than the others. More sound that i never knew was there. And it was all completely crystal clear, even at high volumes. They look kool and sound amazing and had to be in my car. I already had alpine tweeters in my car and knew that alpine was loud and quality, and to be honest i didnt think the mid range would make a difference with the tweeters already there but still they had to be mine. And once in they sounded PHAT, my car sounds better than ever. You stand out side and its like a disco for free. Though the price was high i could only get the 1 set at the time. But trust me, next month im off to Halfords to get me some more for the back panel and dash. There kool and can be placed anywere in the car. I love them, so will you. Just wish the price was a bit lower, maybe round £70, maybe i should shop round aswel. Similar Products Used: Nothing compares to this. Alpine in one in its own right. Anything Alpine you can expect volume, effects, and qualit. Even the cheaper side of Alpine is full of volume and quality.
