from ebay Year / Model Reviewed: 1999/Alchemy Strengths: Subs took an absolute beating under excessive power bursts. Never once faltered in 2 years of constant beating. Very tough, very loud, very hard thumping. Hit over 150 dB on the two twelves. Weaknesses: I can''t say that I ever found one. These things poung like a dream! Summary: These are, by far, the best subs I have ever owned. I have won every competition I have ever entered in them, and for 2 12" subs, I never had better. I rocked over 150+ dB and pushed them hard for two years. Unfortunately, I powered them very hard for that whole time, and after much pounding, contstant beating, and much wear overall, the voice coils finally just melted on me. I was putting over 2000 Watts of power to them, and they took it well, but I was putting more than twice the recommended wattage, and they took it like champs. They blew a week ago, and I pulled them out today, but I will ONLY replace them with another set of the same. Alumapro is the best in the game! Similar Products Used: JL Audio''s 12W6 series are the closest I''ve come to this type of pound, but with a metal cone, dual 8ohm voice coil and ferro-fluid cooling, the Alchemy''s were far superior.
