Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $169.00 from Audiomobile

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 EVO 2210

Strengths:
Very musical.

Weaknesses:
Being internet based, I couldn't hear the sub before buying it.

Summary:
I bought this sub to replace my MTX 6204 and the Audiomobile was and is far superior. I am not a kid and booming is not what I am interested in, quality music with good bass is, however. It was clear from the beginning that this sub played the various nuances of musical notes. Previously I had thought the MTX was pretty good but not in comparison to this one. Plus, the people seemed very helpful as I asked all kinds of stupid questions about amplifiers the how to have the box built. I recommend them highly.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $169.00 from audiomobile website

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
EXCELLENT sound quality, build quality, takes more than rated power, and above average SPL for the size.

Weaknesses:
None I can think of. Can start sounding boomy with Really heavy bass and pushed to the max (or is this because my car starts to rattle like hell?)

Summary:
I don't know what the other reviewer was experiancing, but that review could not be farther off the mark. Probably had a poorly sealed box. This sub has been nothing but bliss for two years...constantly clean, powerful, and loud. I have yet to hear a better ten inch driver for the money. I use two, and the only problem after these years is that the company might now be none-existant, and one of my dustcaps shows some cracking, though this has never effected anything but the subs nice looks.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $179.00 from onlin from audiomobi

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 evo 10inch

Strengths:
none

Weaknesses:
The entire company- sucks They stand behind bogus dated reviews like the one by Tom Nousaine- I swear this guy is tone deaf. I have never read a bad sub review from this moron. I know the magazine gets it's revenues from the adds of these companies, but have some balls and for once call it like it is. They can't all be great. Don't bank on the 30 day no risk policy. It's companies like this that give internet commerce a bad name.

Summary:
DO NOT BUY FROM AUDIOMOBILE I bought this sub with all intentions on keeping it and it did not deliver. I returned it within one week and after two months have not received a refund. They will not return my money, phone calls or e-mails REVIEW: OK SPL for a 10" sub- I put it a 3/4 mdf .75 sealed box as recommended by the company, and yes it is boomy. The sound quality was crap. I'm sorry but this company claims this sub to supposedly have good sound quality and SPL. SPL is good if you are one of those adolescent one note bass punks. If you think cruising the hood with a vibrating trunk will impress the girls then buy this sub, tune your box or bandpass to 32hz pop in your getto bass and go. If you want to actually here the individual notes of the kick drum, or the plucky bass of some chilli peppers this sub aint for you. No tone, no pace, no timing or true dynamics --- you know all the things that make music - music. I ended up going with two sound stream RSQ 10's - night and day differenc in the sound quality. By the way if you're after the boomy one note bass save yourself some money and order the Ultimate cupric from parts express. ps. DO NOT ORDER FROM AUDIOMOBILE they took my money and my returned sub and have yet to return my money or phone calls or e mails. The return policy is BULLSH*T!!!!!!!!

MTX 4000-the only sub I have ever owned that Audiomobile bests. Ultimate Cupric-same but cheaper JL 12w3 -better sound quality Soundstream- Audiomobile doesn't even compare.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:
not the ultimate SPL champ, but quality reigns over quantity.

Summary:
easily the best 10" sub you can buy anywhere near this price. JL, Rockford, Eclipse, Audiobahn, CV.....none can do what tis woofer does at this price. Deep, tight, accurate. Cant say enough about the performance I got.
