from Frys (got employee d Year / Model Reviewed: 2000 MX-1300 Strengths: Power, power, power. Seems like a real solidly constructed unit. It looks really nice too. Made in the USA. I finally had it installed by an authorized dealer so I'm pleased I get the 3 year warranty. I would highly recommend them. Weaknesses: Power hungry compared to the new ones. It has 2 70 amp fuses. Manual says max current draw can go to 156 amps! Summary: Ok wow, I have this beast pushing 2 boston comp 15s and it is way too powerful for them. The bostons are 2ohms each and I had them wired in series to show the beast 4 ohms because even 1200 watts is more than they can handle. 1600 watts? Forget about it! The amp is tremendously powerful, clean, and awesome. I love it. I can't even imagine what the new Class X digital ones are like. All I can say is you better have some tough hi-power woofers for em because they are even more powerful than my class a/b one. I have an extra battery hooked into it and it still dims the lights a bit when the bass starts slammin. Can you say overkill? But for some of us that's a good thing. Similar Products Used: Earthquake, Pioneer. Both suck compared to Autotek. Autotek is some great stuff.
