Review 3 of 3 Year / Model Reviewed: 1998 Honda Prelude Strengths: Dual 2 ohm voice coils. Handles 500 watts, don't know if that's peak or rms. Spec sheet didn't say. Weaknesses: None Summary: I tried this sub in a virtual technology vented enclosure, pushing it with a fosgate 500a2 in bridged mode, into a 4 ohm load. i like the dual 2 ohm coils, very versatile. The Autotek hit really low frequencies well but lacked a little in the 60-80 hz area. But that's not uncommon in this ported box as I found out later with the mtx 8000. But the 8000 reproduced more sub frequencies well, not just the 30-45 hz ones. I was offered the Autotek for $175, but got the mtx 8000 for $190. The Autotek did bottom out and pop a couple of times when I pushed it hard with bass, but the mtx 8000 couldn't be overworked. Still, the Autotek sounded good and would do well with a weaker amp pushing it. Similar Products Used: MTX 5000 and 8000 10's
