Review 1 of 8

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 BBK-1515

Strengths:
Strong construction heavy guage metal

Weaknesses:
Poor welding in collector area had holes that allowed exhaust to leak. Had to take back and spend 3 more hours to replace. Pressure tested new ones with A jig I built held upto 150psi for 24hours. Shop gave attitude on the headers. needed to buy new ones then get my credit card refunded upon returning. They don't leak at the collector welds. But poor sealing at the X-pipe connection to the header. Leaks constantly. Buy other headers from Ford. Save your money and aggravation

Summary:
Bought a pair BBK 1515 Short Unequal Headers

Review 2 of 8

Price Paid:  $280.00 from Jegs

Year / Model Reviewed:
 84 Mercury Capri

Strengths:
I have been running the header for about six months, and no leaks at all.

Weaknesses:
. The only complaint is the matching H-pipe made my BBK did not match. I hade to have it bent by a local shop to make it work.

Summary:
I bought equal length headers from Jegs. I like the headers, they look good, and the construction of the header is excellent.

Price Paid:  $290.00 from summit

Year / Model Reviewed:
 94 mustang gt

Strengths:
decent price if they werent crap

Weaknesses:
bad weld, people who assemble had one two many

Summary:
Installed headers today and NOT happy, the egr tube had the nut put on backwards and of corse couldnt be used so I cut and retrofit the old one, install took aprox 6 hrs for everything mainly because I used the stage 8 bolts(very nice) but takes a while to install, ANYWAY, I get it all together and guess what IT LEAKS...leak is comming from the section above the flange on the drivers side..pretty much where the pipes all come together..so now of corse ill have to get summit to send out a new one the only problem is Ill have to send the other one in first which is a big problem since this is my daily driver..I own other BBk products and Im pleased with them but this sucks...Ive heard bad thigs about their headers but chose not to beleive since I did have good luck with other products from them...not anymore..SAVE yourself the aggravation..buy ford or JBA

Review 4 of 8

Price Paid:  $0.00 from a store

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1987 mustang gt

Strengths:
good looks, good sound, good power

Weaknesses:
can be fun to install ha ha ha

Summary:
these are a good product. the help the car out alot over the crimped dinky stock headers. Decent welds, should chip away the weld spatter prior to install, nice nickle plating but that only lasts till you turn the key then they turn all blue and colorfull. When I went to change my clutch last week couldnt lossen the stud bolts and broke one right off, just needed a little drilling and tapping, no biggie. Overall a good choise even on a stock engine.

Review 5 of 8

Price Paid:  $300.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 91 LX

Strengths:
Nice construction/good looks/nice sound

Weaknesses:
fit

Summary:
Don't know about the others that posted good reviews. I guess every car is different...after installing the bbk equals (ceramic coated) in my car (required lifing the engine about 2 inches) I found that the passenger side had about .050 in. clearance with the shock tower. Sure enough, they vibrated under even mild acceleration. It was unbearable and I didn't feel like doing any metal forming - I replaced them with the less flashy Ford Racing Unequals which, for obvious reasons, fit much better - sans the cool looks and throatier sound. By the way, Summit was really cooperative on the return.
