Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $89.00 from truck stop

Year / Model Reviewed:
 BEL Express 916

Summary:
Good detector for finding radar, warning time for x and K was good, did not run into any laser wile I used it, the problem with this detector was the false alarms, in one 10 mile drive it in city mode it falsed 15 times I drive the same road a few times a week and my cobra and V1 would false only once at the same spot, in ohio I cannot turn off the x band because the ohio state partol still has a number of x band units still in stock,

Strengths:
radar detection range

Weaknesses:
False alarms, also had trouble telling betuen ka,k and x bands

Similar Products Used:
cobra and V1

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $129.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Summary:
Excelent detector!!! I just purchesed it yestarday from New York and on the way back to montreal I was able to avoid all of the 5 police traps! Excelent sensativity and more then enough time to brake! I usually drive around 150kph (92Mph) and response time is important! I have also the Whistler 1630 but its sensativity is too low compared to Bel 916! Higly recomend this product, no need to spend more $$$ for more Gadget models (after all I never received SWS alert since I use detectors, so you really don''t need 60 SWS voice messages)!

Strengths:
Excelent sensativity! More then enough time to react! Long range of detection! Good audio alerts and messages

Weaknesses:
For 1 day of use I did not have any and I am really happy with it!

Similar Products Used:
Whistler 1630
