Summary:

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Came with Vehicle

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 BF Goodrich Long Trail

Strengths:
Long, long life. Nice ride.

Weaknesses:
Not the best traction on wet blacktop roads.

Summary:
Tires came as original equipment on my 2003 F150 supercrew. They have 76,000 miles and are starting to show some wear on the edges. Best tires I have ever had.

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Darcy Hyundai Joliet

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Santa Fe

Strengths:
No problems and 5 years!

Summary:
This is year 5 with the same tires, 133,000 miles. Talk about a deal. They are starting to dry rot, so it is time to replace. I have them checked every time I have service, and the technicians have been shocked by the mileage and great shape of tires.

Price Paid:  $538.00 from Sam's Club

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Toyota Tacoma

Summary:
Had a choice between these and same size, same price Goodyears. I've been a Goodyear guy for years, but was less than pleased with tires on Toyota. The Goodrich Long Trail totally blew away the Goodyears! Much smoother quieter ride. Much better on wet road! Actually getting better gas mileage, nice bonus! Sorry Goodyear, Goodrich gotcha beat with this tire!

Review 5 of 48

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Dealer (new on vehic

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Ford F150

Strengths:
38,000 miles?

Weaknesses:
High noise, Low traction

Summary:
When I purchased my new vehicle it came with the B F Goodrich Longtrails as standard equipment. From the beginning I noticed that the tires would break loose from the pavement fairly easily with moderate acceleration. The F150 has a v8 Triton and relatively low body weight with no load, so at first I thought perhaps it was just an adjustment to be made on my part. However in the intervening years it has become a real annoyance dealing with these tires. In even a light rain they have little traction and the rear tends to slide. They have always been loud and mywife has never enjoyed riding in my vehicle due to the bouncy ride. Turning corners in either direction at low speeds has always been accompanied by a loud squeal. I keep the tires inflated properly and tipically drive 30 miles a day half of wich is highway driving. The tires are now 38,000 miles old. The two fronts have developed separated belts and the two rears are now less than 5mm of tread. While I feel I should have had a bit more life out of them, I am far more dissatisfied with the performance I received while they lasted.I have just replaced them with a competitors product and am already pleased that all the above issues seem to be resolved.
