Price Paid:  $129.00 from crutchfield, sale pr

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 PA2100

Summary:
This amp is small and powerful enough to drive an S8L7 solobaric. The sub has an spl rating of 84 or so dB. I dont use the plastic case, and this amp will fit almost anywhere!! I have a Ranger reg. cab and Im short for room, the L7 is in a 1 ft. ported box, low pass set at around 100 hz. I looked at the Xtant a3001 (300w) the Alpine mrd-m300 (300w) and this Blaupunkt model, and this amp has a cert. rating it at 327 watts RMS. (dynamic power)but Im running dual 4 ohm coils so I think my sub gets total of 215 watts, maybe. anyway, for the size, just the right amount of features, and the super sale price, I should have bought two of these baby's!! If youre running a dual v.c. sub or two small single v.c. subs you might be satisfied with this amp. I would reccomend it for the setup I have. anybody want to buy some plastic colored trim?? email..

Strengths:
some decent features, high and low pass, nice crossover points, and small size to power ratio. runs super cool, and in Phoenix thats a plus! Great value. 10 db bass boost @45 hz.

Weaknesses:
subsonic filter at 10 hz?? we all know that human eardrums cannot hear below 25 hz or so... what gives? it should have subsonic filter at 22-25 hz. dumb.

Similar Products Used:
kicker kx120.2, Coustic 320QE, Kenwood and Coustic401db mono amps (class D) Kicker amps are too big, Kenwood just plain junk, Coustic made by MTX not bad, Blaupunkt still made in Germany... I like that in a world of Chinese amps.

Price Paid:  $149.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 2100

Summary:
I have been a BIG fan of Blaupunkt for years. I think that they make just about the best car products out there as far as quality goes. When I saw these class T amps and what they claimed to be able to do, it was a no brainer for me, especially at the price. This amp does a great job. Got it paired with some Diamond Audio M3's on a HP limited to 100Hz. It could really push some more but I limit it so as not to damage the speakers. The quality of the sould is fantastic. I'm not into thump but I think this amp would push a sub very nicely. It stays cool and is compact as well. I will keep coming back to Blaupunkt

Strengths:
Small, powerfull, good price...great sound, lots of versatility.

Weaknesses:
None yet

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Overall i find this amp to be decent, it was my first amplifier. I had it paired with a bazooka tvb-41 and it was loud. I was surprised at the power to size ratio. I recently blew my sub with this amp, so i highly recommend it.

Strengths:
Very loud, predictable

Weaknesses:
Smells like burning plastic when it heats up, it cuts out after an hour use of high base songs, not recommended for the rap lovers

Similar Products Used:
two pa2100, one pa4100.

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Alamo Auto Sound & S

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 Blaupunkt 2100

Summary:
This idiot friend fried my amp so I had to buy another one. After careful deliberation I chose the BlaupunktPA2100. It wasn't the most powerful one they had by far, but the guy said for its size nothing puts out more power. Well, after putting it in I can now say that my car is louder than it has ever been before. I've got this badass amp powering a CompVR 12 and man it hits HARD. It even it hits harder than my friend who has TWO subs in his Lancer. This amp is rated at 300W but when I opened the box and looked at the birth certificate it actually put out 341WRMS. As good as the 2100 is I am going to switch it out with the 2200 i just got, and connect the 2100 to my highs. Then i'll see how it performs with speakers. Either way it still was enough to power a CompVR12. You can get it for less on ebay, but even considering the price I paid, output power, and its SIZE (we're talkin 7"x7"x2")which gives you flexibility with installation, I would highly recommend this amp.

Strengths:
Output Power, Stays cool, extremely small, Fuse rating

Weaknesses:
none yet

Similar Products Used:
audiobahn-looks good but doesn't perform, kicker-sturdy but their amps are huge, mtx-good amps but they get hot very fast.
