Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $180.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
These speakers are great. The sound is very detailed compared to the cheaper comonents. These speakers reveal a lot of detail. Mid-bass is good for a component setup and these speakers handle reasonable amounts of power as well. The downside to this speaker is that they have a bright tonality. They do not get sharp like some tweeters out there but they do have a bright smooth sound to them.

Strengths:
Revealing speaker, smooth sound, very clean sounding

Weaknesses:
Bright tonality, could have some more mid-bass

Similar Products Used:
Infinity Kappa (sucked, dont buy the old series), Pioneer (pretty good for the price), Sony ES (pretty good), Earthquake (best vocals)

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $120.00 from Technic Autoson, Cha

Year / Model Reviewed:
 ODca650

Summary:
I have two pair of them receiving music from a Blaupunkt's Casablanca CD51 via a Kenwood KAC-646 amplifier. Sound quality is really clean and nicely detailled. The bass they produced match a 8" sub. Recently compared them to Alpine's SPR-176A: for half the price the sound quality is better with the Blaupunkt.

Strengths:
Great sound, detailled highs, good bass for the size.

Weaknesses:
None for the moment.

Similar Products Used:
Blaupunkt Casablanca CD51, Kenwood KAC-646

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $119.00

Summary:
When I first installed them, they didn't really sound very good. Actually, they didn't sound very much at all. They were hooked up to my cd player, and I could barely hear them compared to my factory speakers. After two days of moderate playing (nothing over half way on the volume) the right side woofer and tweeter both blew out. I don't reccommend these at all.

Strengths:
None

Weaknesses:
They blew after two days being hooked up to just my cd player and not played very loud at all. They didn't even sound as good as my factory front speakers.

Similar Products Used:
Mitsubishi factory speakers

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
Lestining to others, I was always under the impression that the big names made the best speakers. Now always! The one thing I hated about all speakers I tried were the harsh highs. I got these Blau's after reading other's reviews and I am so very very pleased with them. The bass is aweseom. I can turn off my sub and be happy (not to that extreme I guess). The highs are just perfect. The tweeter is nice and big (1 inch) and the frequency and agin for it can be adjusted.

If you want to show off a big name in your car, then go and get Rockford or MB's. However, if you want to satisify your needs and what you like, then try out all speaker makers and see which one is right for you. The Balu's were just my ideal perfect speakers.

Strengths:
Very nice component set. Woofer gives LOTS of base, and the tweeter gives just the right amount of highs.

Weaknesses:
none so far

Similar Products Used:
Cerwin Vega's: very harsh highs, bad bass
Infinity Kappa's: again very very harsh highs, bass ok
Rockford Fosgate: overrated junk.
