Price Paid:  $35.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1982 subaru wagon

Summary:
These speakers are not for rock/rap music. Played great on classical music though. although it does not pick up any bass it does not crackle/pop or anything while trying to pick out the bass. the rubber surround shows good quality. I have these speakers in my dash and factory 6watt 4" speakers in the back and the factory speakers sound much better and louder on anything but classical. But what can you expect for a 3.5" speaker? overall they add to the sound in my subaru nicely(that is, the notes they can hit) and for 35 dollars, its not a bad deal if you need something that will produce okay sound in a small space.

Strengths:
Great highs, alright mids. fits in my subaru's dash w/o much custom stuff(very hard to find anything for an 82 subaru.)

Weaknesses:
No bass, but does pick up drums okay, too quiet.

I havent compared it with any other speaker this small

Review 2 of 2

Summary:
$38 at buyitnow.com. Would recommend--bast in price range, and all I can afford. Of course, if you're going to cut up your whole car and spend all your money on car audio equipment, you probably already know you won't buy these--get components.

Strengths:
Very clean sound, good imaging--even in front-facing dashboard location. Much more accurate midbass than stock speakers I've had too long. No distortion at high volume. Good price. You can turn them up loud and they don't hurt your ears, even just connected to the head unit. Next step, to hook them up to my Blaupunkt MPA400US 3-channel amp when it arrives.

Weaknesses:
nothing yet

Similar Products Used:
pioneer coax, kenwood dual cone (P.O.S.)--it's better than both
