from Ebay---Super-Sweet D Year / Model Reviewed: 2003 ODxa694 Summary: These speakers rock, but I'm skeptical of the 300 watt power rating... well I might even be skeptical of the 150 rms rating... Strengths: - 4-way, even though one of the "tweeters" seems to play no sound, oh well.. and I'm by no means deaf--maybe my mp3's don't play that frequency, but I HARDLY believe it.. that would have to be some crazyhigh freqs...
- Dual Voice-Coil --- this is a fairly rare option, it allows you to work with your ohm load... nice... plus you can use it to "increase" the bass output of these speakers by using the headunit to output treble to these speakers, and a separate amp to output bass to these speakers... a good idea in theory, but its not very practical. --- the only thing I can think of that this can be used for is you can use the Front-Right, and Rear-Right channels of a Headunit and feed them both to this speaker without harming your deck... so you can get about 50watts RMS to this thing... a very rare option indeed!
--- if you have a car with a rear deck (not like a firebird)... then these speakers can almost replace two 12" subwoofers... ALMOST, not completely... I'm just saying that you may think twice about adding more bass once you hear these (in a rear-deck car, like a buick, or honda)
- Looks pretty awesome Weaknesses: - Big EVERYTHING--- the magnet is REALLY big, and looks extremely awesome as well... I had to use the extension rings to make these speakers mount in my '90 firebird...
- hard to devote an amplifier to ONLY output bass to these speakers, when you might as well get some subwoofers---
- more like 3-way but still clean sound Similar Products Used: -Jensen 6x9'... somehow are decently good!
-Other blaupunkt--see-through models, they are horrible!
